The town of Evenos known as "Nèbre" in Provençal is composed of three atypical hamlets with different characters: St. Anne of Evenos, Broussan, Nèbre.

The village of Evenos is located on an old eagle's nest made of basaltic rocks, translating a very old volcano, hence the etymology of its name "Nèbre" comes from "Ebro" (burn, light, black) . Basalt rock was used to build the village and roads. This basaltic table stretches from the rocks of the Eagle to Cape Negro at Six Fours Les Plages.

Even being aware of what awaits you, the discovery of Evenos, The Old Village, causes a shock. This medieval town including the seigniorial castle and the original village built at 362 meters above sea level is mirage and offers a 180 ° panoramic view of the bay of Toulon to La Ciotat and at our feet the deep fault Gorges d ' Ollioules.

The Saint Martin Church, the feudal castle, its walls of carved stone and the bow of the keep on which still hangs a few houses, desperately looking for its way to the future, dragging its time history, the Old Evenos waiting for you !

The Beasusset Provencal village located between sea and mountains, member of the Communauté d'Agglomération Sud Sainte-Baume is part of the Provence coast.

The Provençal coast, basin bathed in sunshine 300 days a year, gathers 12 municipalities of West Var. These enjoy, in turn, a hilly nature with steep reliefs, abundant vegetation or a sparkling sea ... A very diverse environment for a privileged place.

The Provençal coast offers you a thousand and one wealth and gives you all its secrets.

The Provençal coast is not in rest of contrasts and reliefs to which its communes have respectfully adapted themselves. It also sports generous forests populated with original species and botanical curiosities that can be discovered along trails developed by many municipalities.

The Provencal coast is also bordered by a coastline with equally varied scenery. Sometimes vast expanses of beach are merged with the sea. Sometimes natural coves with wild accents unveil their protruding rocks and jagged reliefs making the notoriety.

It is especially the feudal and Gallo-Roman times that have left the Provençal Coast basin testimonials and vestiges of a rich heritage. Symbols of this wealth, castles still reign in many municipalities.

Land of history, the Provençal Coast generously displays high churches and chapels testifying to Catholic religious cultures that have marked history.

The Provençal Coast again reveals the extent of its diversity and its wealth, the craft being the symbolic example. And what examples! Olive oil, honey, lavender, perfume essences, dried flowers, Provençal fabrics, ceramics, santons, pottery ...

Upon the completion of the 10-kilometre Phase One (Red, Yellow, and Green Lines) in 2014, the system was considered to be the longest aerial cable car system in the world. While other urban transit cable cars like Medellín's Metrocable complement existing rapid transit systems, Mi Teleférico is the first system to use cable cars as the backbone of the urban transit network. In 2018, Mi Teleférico won a Latam Smart City Award in the category of "Sustainable urban development and mobility".

I want you to know that I have just made my mind to join the group "Flickr for the Planet", for two reasons. First, because I want to do something MORE for the Planet and maybe this group may teach me how to do it. I believe PHOTOGRAPHY can help us communicate and exchange points of view about topics that are important to us or inspire others to take action. The second reason, is to make me more participative in Flickr by being driven towards a social cause.

This photograph (F2065 ~ For the Planet) is being published for the second time. I wanted to publish it from scratch, first because I think the content is apropriated to start my publishing flow, but using this photo without a frame was a condition for me (sometimes, I want to get rid of the frames I add to my photographs).

Finally, I want to draw the attention of my old Flickr Friends to this Group "Flickr for the Planet" and inspire them to join too.

This photograph was taken in Cerveira, North of Portugal, in the bank of Minho River, a beautiful natural environment where I stayed during the first weeks of Coronavirus pandemic.

February, 22. Kerstine arrived from Berlin this morning. The weather was uncertain i thought Lizandro was a good idea. We visited last time she was here and the river did not have any water so today, oh boy, what a nice surprise!!!

February, 24. After a great sunrise with my usual friends and our guest Kerstine, the freaks, that's me and Kerstine, :)) got out for a sunset. We drove towards Ericeira, heading to a beach near by. But, while driving, i looked at the sky it was really gray and ugly and on the opposite direction the sun was shining! So we changed the initial plans and hunted the sun by driving to Magoito. It was a blessed decision!!! We had the most dramatic conditions in the last days. The light was of an excellent quality, it rained a lot but the sun was shining behind the clouds. Me and Kerstine were soaked and wet but had a wonderful end of the day. Today, we can be spotted on some location around this area :). High tide is around sunset time and we will be going to a very well known place. However, once again these are only the initial plans they might be adjusted according to weather conditions.:)

March 15 It is raining here but the sun is shining outside. I should go out for photos but my household responsabilities call me for duty :) Later it will be a dramatic sunset and hopefully i will be there to catch it. Tomorrow is sun-day-rise and the weather report is very promising, too! Yeah, i have never cared as much for weather reports and tides as i care now.

February, 27. Another journey to the shore. Late afternoon while the sky was stormy and the light was gentle and forgiving. At a certain point, it felt as if we had a gigantic lamp over the sea waters. The sea was rising but still we had 1hour left until the full peak so, at least, an hour left of light to shoot. The water moved slowly designing the most wonderful curves on the sand and the white foam gently wrapped around the rocks on the shore. I could spend hours documenting these movements. I am becoming addicted to the sea and its mist. Today the weather conditions are very promising again, see you around here or some place else around.

Finally, yesterday, we had a morning full of mist and fog where we really need it. Sunday i was visiting Peninha, again!! I have been there hunting these mornings for awhile without success. Yesterday was close to perfection although no sun and no rays but hey! you can't have it all. Still a morning full of shots and I had to be dragged out of the place. I was delighted with so much beauty i don't have the words to describe.

We had fun wondering around the Port of Lisbon, yesterday. There are some sunken treasures to be found in that place.

When you are out to shoot and clouds come to take the light away, you better think * well, not a typical summer afternoon, just different one* and deal with it, who knows when you get home the results aren't that bad after all.:)

The big size is here!

You can enjoy the big version of this and other shots here. Have a gr8, gr8 day my friends! :)

Aka Praia do Amado this place is seriously...well "beautiful" doesn't do justice! It's out of this planet! Very popular among surfers, in fact that day there were only a few german and spanish surfers around and of course us :)

It was by making photographs that I learned to be an artist. But as I learned to be an artist I grew away from photography.

Check out my friend´s António VI stream and see not "making of" of this shot but of another yet to come. Ha! and for the record i did not ask to go up on the roof :))))i was invited to climb up there and it was a wonderful moment!! i love Antonio's shot! :))

I now have everything ready to return to the crime scene, tomorrow! We will have high tide at 6:06 AM, sunrise around 7:45 to catch a few landscape shots and a beautiful sunny day with a few clouds for an additional set of streetphoto frames. I really hope it's worthy! Have a wonderful weekend everybody.

Enjoy the loudest silence of all silences.

I will exchange a city for a sunset, the tramp of legions for a wind's wild cry, and all the braggard thrusts of steel triumphant, for one far summit blue against the sky.

It's raining, gray and ugly in Lisbon. But we all know by now, that rainy, gray and ugly days are great dramatic photographic subjects. This shot is a good example of that. You only have to have the guts to get out there. The tide will be low and skies will be stormy, hopefully the sun will also show up or may be not.

Your light can pierce even the deepest darkness. This one has been sitting on my hard drive for awhile. Today was the day. See big. I do have a couple of really nice shots from this place waiting in line :) Very hard to get here and probably why is so beautiful and peaceful.

Yesterday, the light, at the end of day, was just gorgeous. It was a perfect end of the day: the quality of the light was amazing and tide was just about right having it's low peak at one hour after sunset. As usual, there were some funny stories to laugh about, Luís and Teresa escaped a major, major soak (by running faster than the waves) cause friend Mat warned them on time. Teresa and I got wet all the way up to our butts :) even Calvin got in trouble yesterday but, thanks to him being wise, nothing happened. At the end, the fun had to be celebrated with a couple of deserved beers at the terrace of the only restaurant on the beach (BTW, if you come and visit Adraga, this is the best place to eat fresh fish around). Global warming is real, the weather is amazingly warm which is not common at all for this time of the year.

My friend Teresa has the "making of" for this one

Last days of the year were warm and sunny in the southern coast of Portugal. In fact it felt like it was already spring. The sky was really blue, the light was amazing and the place, well the place is known as Costa Vicentina and it has some of the most beautiful, well preserved beaches in Portugal. It's dreamland for surfers and other watersports lovers. If you visit Portugal it's well worthy renting a car and come down for a visit. You can read more about this area here

tide was low and night had broken but we still had the waterfall...for us.

Castelluccio di Norcia, center of Italy, is where farmers from the Umbria region are hoping that their fields of lentils can help revive local agriculture and tourism.

The lentils grown near the village of Castelluccio are one of the many typical regional products, including saffron and cured hams, whose production and sale have been hit by multiple earthquakes last year which killed nearly 300 people and destroyed thousands of homes and businesses.

Italy’s main farming association Coldiretti has estimated at 2.3 billion euros ($2.4 billion) the cost of the direct and indirect damage done to rural areas, barns, machinery, mills, storehouses and infrastructure and the destruction of animals and crops.

Since i started photographing my country, i found places i had no idea that existed. But looking at them at sunrise hours is totally out of this world, you really feel fortunate to have such places and develop a great sense of protection towards them.

It was totally dark. I was having trouble focusing my camera though the beach is iluminated by street lamps. "face on mars" was shot around 6.30 pm after sun had set. The red-orange tones come from parking lot lamps nearby.

"Now the crickets are singing

The vesper bells ringing

The cat's curled asleep in his chair

I'll go down to Bill's Bar

I can make it that far

And I'll see if my friends are still there

Yes, and here's to the few

Who forgive what you do

And the fewer who don't even care

And the night comes on

It's very calm

I want to cross over, I want to go home

But she says, Go back, go back to the World..."
