Surrendering
Friday the thirteenth, February 2004.
I am surrendering to your gaze, revealing my radiating skin.
This lucky & unforgettable image was captured by me with good timing when the priest bent down to offer his prayer to the HUGE IDOL (Statue) of GOMATESWARA @ SRAVANABELAGOLA TEMPLE near MYSORE, KARNATAKA, INDIA. One has to climb 500 steps to see this 50 feet high beautiful Satue depicting the commencement of JAINISM Religion.
The Mahamastakabhishekam festival in this temple is held once in 12 years, when the image of Gomateswara is bathed in milk, curds, ghee, saffron and gold coins, which happens to be this year.

Wife went to a Sarah McLachlan concert last night and I found myself with way too much free time. Warring candy seems to be the end result.

Onderdeel van mijn fotoclub jaarthema. Macro. Technische gezien geen echte Macro foto, echter had al tijdje het idee om iets met schaakstukken te gaan doen.

Terms of Surrender
We hide in the dead grass.
Heat makes the rocks tremble.
Before night rescues us we have
accepted the terms: crawled
lied, cheated ~ lived.
We take what the world gives.
We bow our heads like flowers
and think of the ways we came.
Before sleep each night we put
our mouths against a clod
and breathe our share of common air ~
The truest way there is to say God's name.

An awesome early morning meetup with some cool friends yesterday...
With all the rain we've had lately, this place stunk like anything, and I'm sure I lost a few years of my life breathing all that mold and asbestos and whatever else was brewing there, but damn it was worth it..!!!
At the point when I took this shot, I wasn't really thinking much other than it was a cool spot for a SP.. this morning when I was processing it, my wife came up to me and asked if it was appropriate to take a shot like this...
So, if this shot offends anybody, I deeply and sincerely am sorry... did not mean to offend anybody's faith or religion.
This is the second in a personal series about self harm.
This photo signifies the voluntary surrender to the parts of you inside that allow you to do this to yourself.
The arms belong to him as well; the darker parts of his person trying to pull him under.
The Joes are right, there is a Cobra base hidden near the Alaskan pipeline. Unfortunately for them, their arrival is not unexpected as hidden cameras on the perimeter track their progress to the base and beam a live feed into the stronghold.
Tele-viper: That’s right sir… they’re getting closer. From their approach vector, I don’t think they know exactly where we are but they’ll soon be upon us
Snow Serpent’s Commander: We knew this day had to come eventually… Put the base on high alert! We don’t have any backup so we’re going to fight to the last. It’s kill or be killed and we’re going to be ready! Never surrender!! COBRA!!!
Rest of Troops: COBRA!!!

Krypto is growing up. (It's been two years since his first Christmas with us ... the terror documented here. This is the first time he's not chosen to battle Sophie for control of all territories established as "tree".
Until she leaves the room. Patience has its rewards. ;-)
