My dad in front of Les Invalides -- where Napoleon and other leaders are entombed, the museum of the army is housed, and there's an old soldier's home. (Maneuver replica: not my idea. ;) )
Despite the look of the weather, it was a fine if blowing day to explore Old Gang smelting mill and the valley beyond.

I can’t take another day without you
‘Cause baby, I could never make it on my own
I’ve been waiting so long, just to hold you
And to be back in your arms where I belong
Went and checked out the band of some guys that I work with at Ridglea. It was a Halloween show and they told me they'd be various characters from the Mario Bros. games so I took a couple shots.
This is their keyboardist/guitars whose name I don't know.
Their music is somewhere in the realms of: System of a Down/Muse
I had the chance this weekend to slow down and focus on God, and it was wonderful. We talked a lot about surrendering our lives to God, and I was reminded (once again, and most certainly not for the last time) that God wants all of me. It's easy to just give God the leftovers when you spend every waking moment doing homework, running to some meeting, or trying to catch more than 6 hours of sleep a night. Weekends like this bring my life back into perspective, and they help me refocus on the most important things.
