The EU-supported COVCHEG (‘Community-based value chain enhancement in the greater Caucasus Mountains area’) project aims to preserve and enhance the unique plants, animal species, national cuisine and ecosystems inherent to a particular rural area of Azerbaijan. The project started in August 2018 and received EU funding of €813,000. It covers five regions in the country: Shamakhi, Ismaili, Gabala, Shaki and Qakh.
COVCHEG is funded by the EU and implemented by the Slow Food organisation, which has more than 30 years of experience in preserving local food traditions. The Chinese are very proud that there country is holding the Olymipcs, and they loved the fact that we were carrying their flag, and Tia and her friend were wearing Olymipc t-shirts.

Dili, 19 June 2012 - The acting Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General Finn Reske-Nielsen hands over election materials to the Technical Secretariat for Electoral Administration (STAE.)
The election materials consist of 5,000 bottles of indelible ink, 2,000 T-shirts for the National Observers, 2,000 vests for the International Observers, 2,000 vests for polling staff, voter education posters, and billboards.
The 2012 parliamentary election materials were procured by the UN as part of the long-term institutional support and technical assistance provided to Timor-Leste’s electoral management bodies.
This logistics and operational support is provided by the UN (an integrated UNMIT and UNDP team) with funds from Japan, Sweden and Norway.
