Recipe:
Ingredients: fresh mushroom picked from local soccer fields. iPad or laptop to make the green light. One darkened room.
Preparation: make neon green background and set as wallpaper on iPad. Setup tripod and remote shutter release.
Cooking: Secure mushroom with an old reading glass case. Sit on top of iPad lying flat. Set low ISO, high aperture & adjust speed according to light/dark taste. Set ipad screen brightness to high.
Optional: For that extra zing, focus bracket & stack.
Enjoy with a glass of nice Pinot Noir.

Got close and personal to a very vintage movie projector. It was the first time I've ever seen one of these devices and I loved the look of it! It would be cool to have one of these on display and even luckier if I used it for its purpose. It's a purchase I'll definitely revisit in the future.

The former spa hotel Fürstenhof is a hotel complex in the southern quarter of the city of Eisenach in Thuringia. The buildings, which have been vacant since the mid-1990s, are in a ruinous condition. According to the ruling of the administrative court in Meiningen at the end of August 2021, the building may be demolished along with the ancillary buildings.
Investigations in 2000 and 2003 concluded that renovation was uneconomical. In 2004, the listed building status for the building complex was revoked - also in view of the structural decay and architectural losses during the GDR era.
To prevent a collapse, the ceiling of the foyer is completely supported with beams.

Plus, after hearing Bruce Springsteen interviewed on Desert Island Discs on BBC Radio 4 this morning, I was enchanted - what a genuine, unassuming man he is. Always an admirer, I am now hooked for life !
His autobiography is called "Born to Run" ... so I think a blast of this fantastic song is called for here, don't you? :o)

Update on my stolen images. That person has been kicked out of flickr. I was happily surprised at how fast yahoo acted. Also, I've tighten my security on flickr and made it harder for anyone do download my images. Thanks for all the support I received form everyone.
This stump supporting the large pot was an elder tree deposited as a seed forty years ago by a passing bird no doubt. It grew and grew and as we aged together I became weaker and it became stronger, pushing down my fences and scattering dye filled berries everywhere. When my friend who made red wine from the berries and white wine from the flowers passed away and I became less able to control its growth I had it reduced it to a stump. I felt guilty but it did make a good stand for the pot.

We adopted my dog Molly 5 years ago. We are not 100% sure of her age but believe she is about 10 years old now. While she isn't officially labeled an "Emotional Support Dog" there is no doubt in my mind that she has gotten me through some tough times. She is so loving and loyal and truly is a best friend. I would be lost without her. ❤

In einer doppelten Symbolik schlagen Regierungsbauten und die Gebäude für die demokratisch gewählten Abgeordneten eine Verbindung und symbolische Brücke zwischen Ost und West. Die Demokratie ist Bauherr. Dem 1995 begonnenen Bau geht die größte bis dahin dagewesene weltweite Projektausschreibung für öffentliche Bauten voran: 835 Architekten bewerben sich um die Aufträge. Es geht darum Deutschlands neue Regierungszentrale wie auch die Büros für die Abgeordneten des Parlaments zu entwerfen.
Den Zuschlag für die Neugestaltung des Spreebogens erhalten die Architekten Axel Schultes und Charlotte Frank. Paul-Löbe-Haus und Marie-Elisabeth-Lüders-Haus konzipiert der Architekt Stefan Braunfels. Verworfen werden die ursprünglich geplante Platzanlage Bürgerforum mit Cafés und Geschäften und zunächst die Verlängerung in Richtung Bahnhof Friedrichstraße. (...) Das Paul-Löbe-Haus ist benannt nach dem Reichstagspräsidenten und Alterspräsidenten des ersten Deutschen Bundestags. Es beherbergt die Büros von Abgeordneten, Sitzungssäle und die zentrale Besucherbetreuung. Besonders prägnant ist die Glasfassade an der Westseite. The journey into homelessness is rarely a singular event, but rather a complex accumulation of personal and systemic fractures. The path likely began with the quiet erosion of stability—perhaps the loss of a long-held career followed by the gradual disintegration of social support. As the fabric of his everyday life unravelled, economic pressures and perhaps health struggles may have removed a safety net to cushion the descent. A story of resilience in the face of immense adversity, illustrating how a person can become unmoored from society's structures, forced to navigate a stark, solitary existence while remaining an often invisible observer of the world.

While barns used to dominate farm sites throughout the countryside, they had a whole supporting cast of other buildings. Sometimes they were small while other times there were quite large buildings that sheltered hogs, sheep or cattle. Hard to tell what this intriguing building was but I suspect at least at one time it held chickens. On our farm, you could put chickens almost anywhere and they would be happy.
