Some peaks of the Sundance Range reflected in one of the Vermillion Lakes on a crispy, chilly autumn morning.
Mt. Rundle, the iconic peak to the left that is one of the most photographed mountains in Canada was shrouded in clouds. Glad these peaks were out reflected nicely below.
Thanks All for the gracious comments, faves and support. Always appreciated!

Dragon detail from Shibamata Taishakuten, which was founded in 1629 - but the buildings in the area are generally from the early 20th century. The inner shrine of the Taishakudo (Taishaku temple hall) was finished in 1915 and the hall of worship 1929. The temple is centred around the worship of Taishakuten (sometimes called just Taishaku - written 帝釈天 or 帝釈 respectively), the Japanese name for Sakra devanam Indra (that is, the god Indra, known from Hinduism).
The temple (and its nearby ferry) is designated as one of the '100 Soundscapes of Japan' (日本の音風景100選) and the temple is also '100 Landscapes of Japan (Heisei era)' (平成百景). And it is the home of a series of quite spectacular wood carvings, depicting scenes from the Lotus Sutra, and with some really beautiful dragons which carry beams on their heads (the wooden kind, not the ray of light-kind of beam...).

♫ Something Spooky In That Jungle ♫
Splash Page for the upcoming chapter of Sanquinolency: Book I which should be out in the next few days.
Also as a side note: I wanted to do this as a homage to those old mystery and thriller book covers that I used to look at and read when I was little.
🌳Taken at Jungle of Sin One of the owners, Jason Hassanov, was kind enough to show me some of the best spots on the sim the day when I was there looking for a suitable location for this shot. They're very nice people, and I appreciate their allowing us to use their wonderful sim.🌼
Thanks to everyone who supports me. I so much appreciate it. You guys keep me going.♥

Lately there has been an increase in these funny jumping spiders in our backyard. I like how they explore and look around. This one seemed to be analyzing me and my camera while I was taking shots. Makes it seem like such an intelligent animal.

This shot shows a section of some back-lit, string netting which is ideal for plants that require vertical and horizontal support. Photographed in the vegetable garden at Hampton Court Palace.

I am pleased to have the support of my grand daughter as an assistant on some of my photoshoots and it's a special bonus when she smiles.
I used ambient light and a ring light to provide highlights from the left hand side. I set the camera aperture to f/1.8 to slightly defocus the background.
While I usually like to stay low with drone shots in some situations going high can give you the sort of overview of an area not possible any other way. In this case I caught wind of NS pulling a 68D unit stone train out of the quarry at Clay Center, OH with just enough time for me to get over there and capture a bird's eye view from the NS Chicago main in the foreground to the quarry pit in the background. The town of Clay Center occupies the space between the mainline and the quarry to the middle right. Also note the bridge pier along the road that once supported an interurban rail line. 10/1/2021
Sometimes just being there for someone to lean on is showing support. Whether that person is like the limp vine that is tired and spent or the person needs help to stay strong and tall like the ice, we all need a little support now and then. Happy Fence Friday!

While barns used to dominate farm sites throughout the countryside, they had a whole supporting cast of other buildings. Sometimes they were small while other times there were quite large buildings that sheltered hogs, sheep or cattle. Hard to tell what this intriguing building was but I suspect at least at one time it held chickens. On our farm, you could put chickens almost anywhere and they would be happy.
