As well as the Link Stone, I found this lovely porch support on a building in Malvern Link, whilst doing my little exploration of the area..
It has a nauticla feel to it and is obviously well cared for but I have no idea of its history.

American Airlines Sky Ball XVII, in Support of the Airpower Foundation was a great success! We held 3 days of celebrations, tributes, educational opportunities for students, all culminating with the largest and most impactful black tie military support gala in the country! We started with the Airpower Foundation's 20th Anniversary celebration gala, honoring our nation's Medal of Honor Recipients. The next morning 3,000 students enjoyed learning about all the aircraft at the hangar along with the DFW Aviation Expo. Medal of Honor Recipients, along with special guests, visited local area schools as well. Friday evening we had a great turn out for our Salute to the Heroes Concert featuring Stoney LaRue with Austin Allsup. Chef Robert Irvine cooked up a fantastic meal along with his team for all our guests to enjoy. Saturday we were honored to host a special luncheon with the American Fallen Soldiers Project to present the portrait of Army SGT William Moody to his family. Saturday evening culminated with the Sky Ball XVII Black Tie Gala celebrating the Home of the Brave! Martina McBride closed the evening with a wonderful concert! Thank you to all of our sponsors, donors, guests, and our volunteers who work countless hours to make the weekend possible! National Guard Soldiers and Airmen from the D.C.-based 33rd Civil Support Team and the Fort Pickett-based 34th Civil Support Team trained together April 7, 2015, at the Fairfax County Urban Search and Rescue Training Site, Lorton, Va. The two-day exercise brought together the two teams as well as firefighters from Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department. Both units can identify chemical, biological, and radiological substances, assess current and projected consequences, advise an incident commander on response measures, and assist with requests for additional state support. The CSTs are federally resourced, trained and sustained and operates under the control of state leadership. The Adjutant General of each state or territory may employ the CST to support the state response under the direction of the governor or to support another state’s response under a supported governor. A huge crowd - reportedly the largest ever for Palestine in the UK - again gathered in London (and in other cities across the UK and around the world) to protest the ongoing Israeli assault on Gaza. Organised by the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, Stop the War, Friends of al-Aqsa, CND, and others, the march started outside BBC HQ, in Portland Place, and headed via the US Embassy to Hyde Park.

Another shot courtesy of Flickr user m20wc51, taken by an unknown US sailor in 1965, off the coast of Vietnam. This ship is used to support troops operating in coastal areas. In 1965, that was also the Canberra's mission, shelling coastal areas to support ground operations.

The shot was clean, so all that was needed was a reconsideration of some faded colours and a minor cleanup of specks and spots. The original can be found here, for purposes of comparison, and for more details on the ship itself, which is LSSN (landing support ship large) Lưu Phú Thọ, hull number 229, NavSource has a history page. Originally it was a US Navy ship. The ship was US rated for 6 officers and 65 enlisted; about 27 personnel are visible in the shot.

Members of the 4-401st Army Field Support Battalion supervised the beginning stages of construction of new maintenance facilities at Kandahar Air Base. The facilities are capable of supporting many missions including maintenance, storage, or living quarters. The new facilities are scheduled to be completed in the next few months and are being built with the help of Afghan workers. The space will provide critical infrastructure to support the logistical and sustainment needs of U.S. and coalition forces.
About the 401st:
The 401st Army field Support Brigade gives our Soldiers, Sailors, Airman, and Marines, the tools and resources necessary to complete the mission. If they shoot, drive it, fly it, wear it, eat it or communicate with it, the 401st helps to provide it. The brigade also assists coalition partners with many of their logistical and sustainment needs. The brigade will also handle to responsible disposition of equipment in Afghanistan as the mission here changes. The 401st is the single link between warfighters in the field and Army Materiel Command.

Ridgeway College students joined student protesters around the world to protest for Climate Change Action. Children outside the school spoke to the public about the Climate Change crisis and that their very futures are at risk. They gathered over 150 signatures and in turn spoke to more than 300 people about Climate Change.
