My second tintype session. The two that look wrong, are due to the fixer being too cold, therefore not changing it from negative to positive (still interesting though). Another lesson learned! I'm hoping to get one more session in, before hand-in!
He was actually a lot funnier and nicer than he looks in this photo. I just thought this image caught my initial impression of how intimidating his size and presence was before getting to know him throughout our session. Just another lesson about never judging a book by its cover.
Yeah, I'm a rock star! Everything about me is outrageous: I look different and act different. Not only do people look at me in a weird way, but when I put on my show, they really wonder what kind of beast I am. Because, well, I'm a little excessive in all I do...
I don't bark, I cry loud, as if you'd get your finger squeezed in the door, it hurts right? (usually what people think and look right at my mummy who feels terrible) Yeah, I rock! Anything minor can start me and even with all my mum's hard work, I continue, I'm uncontrollable ;)!
When I want something, I'll go for it no matter what, and if I cannot get it, I just won't let go and become real excited and stubborn, I will even get up on my hind legs and paddle with my front legs, just to make things clear: I WANT IT!!
My biological mum and dad are in fact half brother & sister... Yeah, to get that delicious chocolate color, people would do anything! That may explain a few things about my weird behavior (if anyone is familiar with such issues, feel free to comment, my mum would be relieved I guess to know I'm not a single case)...
Mmm, what else? I snort, yes, you heard right. When I say I'm a rock star...
OK, that's it for now, I still have to keep a little mystery...

I've actually finished this personal project a few months ago but haven't posted everything yet due to being very busy with client work... I'll be posting everything on my blog in a few weeks, I promise.
About Jim: He is a best-selling author, financial commentator, and successful international investor. His publisher in New York commissioned me last year to photograph him for the cover of this latest book, Street Smarts.
I really was sad in response to bad news. Sometimes making photographs is what gets me through bad times.

Taken during a temporary studio shoot put on by the Cincinnati Camera and Photography Club Meetup Group held at the Fernald Nature Preserve near Ross, Ohio just outside of Cincinnati.
Our group set up four different temporary studios where we took turns shooting a group of around 12 cosplayers in a variety of costumes. We are very fortunate to have such a great and active Meetup group in the Cincinnati area as well as so many willing subjects to shoot.
