A self portrait in low key light.

Strobist info: 1/20th second shutter for candle light, 1/2 CTO gel strobe fired through gridded beauty dish to camera left, 1/4 CTO gel strobe fired through short snoot onto background and silver reflector to camera right.

Studio equipment used:

1 light source - Elinchrom ELC Pro HD 500, key light with Rotalux Deep Octa light modifier above right to the model, another light source - Elinchrom ELC Pro HD 500 fill light with strip box on the left side, the whole scene was syncronized with Elinchrome EL Skyport remote used on camera, Dark Blue handmade acrylic painted canvas used as background - approx. 2-3 meters behind the model

Added several extra layers for skin tone processing here, besides those that I normally have. It looks like I'll make it a part of my usual process. Love the final result. What do you think guys?

Kayla was lit by a DigiBee 800 fired into an 18" OMNI dish with a diffusion sock over it, camera right. Triggered with a Pocket Wizard. Amanda held a round silver reflector, camera left, to partially fill shadows in Kayla's face. Canon 5DS and Sigma 24-105mm f4.0 Art lens.
