Lacking inspiration - the cats were being uncooperative and it's raining out. Hence random still life of a ball of plastic twine.

An exercise in frustration.... not user friendly to string up. I shimmed it to help out. The Fender EXII it was originally designed for has much more space between the nut and first set of tuning posts making it somewhat easier. Good thing I'm not a chronic string changer.
Organized by the Regional Committee of Hamazkayin in Lebanon and the Punig Foundation, a concert of the Aram Khachatouryan String Quartet of Armenia took place on Sunday, February 7, 2010 at 8:00 PM, at the Assembly Hall of American University of Beirut. Artists, art lovers, and members of Hamazkayin were attending the event.
The art director of the Aram Khachatouryan String Quartet is Vache Hoveyan. Members of the quartet are: Marie Margaryan (violin,) Haik Vardanyan (violin,) Vache Hoveyan (viola,) and Vahan Georgyan (cello.) The Quartet has been reorganized in 2004 and has performed in Armenia, Nagorno Karabagh, Russia, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
At the beginning of the concert, Vache Hoveyan thanked the Regional Committee of Hamazkayin in Lebanon and the Punig Foundation. Afterwards, in the first part of the program, the Aram Khachatouryan String Quartet performed a series of compositions by Edward Mirzoyan and which was composed of five sections. Following to a brief intercession, in the second part of the program the Quartet performed works by Gomidas (arranged by Aslamazyan) and Sayat Nova (arranged by Vard Manougyan,) as well as the folk songs “Kele-kele,” “Shogher jan,” “Gakavig,” “Hoy nazan,” “Al ayloughs,” “Vagharshabadi bar,” “Ashkharhoums,” “Kamancha,”to mention some.
Throughout more than one and a half hour of the performance, the Aram Khachatouryan String Quartet presented a quality performance of the gems of the classical Armenian music, and which were highly appreciated by the audience.
Let us mention that at the beginning of the event, booklets were handed out and where, in “Our Word,” the Regional Committee of Hamazkayin in Lebanon stated that similar events aim at encouraging the development of Armenia-diaspora relations and serve to the task of preserving the Armenian culture. The Regional Committee also thanked all those who financially or morally support the projects and activities of Hamazkayin. copyright@Ashnag
This is my first design ... Life! You are born, you are the center of all attention with mom, dads and siblings. As you grow older the friends fill in behind with more friends in the front. Finally you reach the end of the string and all remains is a few friends and many memories. Auto Tagged By Tagnics
As in the type of seal royalty would use to "sign" documents - the fractal version. This one would be rather tough to forge.
At the business function I was at tonight, I thought it was quite unfortunate that the din in the room was incredibly loud. It was impossible to hear any of the music this quartet was performing.
My daughter's violin is in dire need of tuning but unfortunately no one here in the house knows how to tune it without breaking a string :(
