With a jump and a stride,
By the rules did I abide.
I moved as fast as my feet could take me,
To be, to play, to taste victory.
Not everything was failure,
Not everything was glory.
Not everything I said was a reader's story.
I chose to be who I am today,
To taste victory, to be, to play.

But he finally crossed a line too fine.
He superceded and shattered my expectations,
He played his game with no reservations.
Who he was, he did not forget,
Nor did he lead me to ever regret.
He played his game with a jump and a stride,
And only with his passion did he hold his pride.
