october 7, 2009 - today, i turned 28 years old. my coworkers and students made it a really awesome day and the phillies gave me a game 1 win in the nlds! i took this photo before heading out to meet up with laurel, ryan and john at the drafting room to celebrate. (it was john's birthday, too!)
A quick shot before I leave for a little trip to see my family and a three day tandem cycling trip with the Hubby.
This is a totem pole that stands outside the Navy Exchange at the Smokey Point annex in Everett, WA.
My Project brief is to go up to strangers in the street that I think have an interesting look/style and ask them if I can photograph them. This girl did not want her photo to be taken, but I managed to convince her and got a great shot out of it :)
When processing this image I thought I'd see how it would look in colour. This is probably the only image that I felt worked due to the way she positioned between the gates, and the lighting.
So here you go, one colour image!
Not abandoned - this is the door to my sister's chicken coop. It's just not being used right at the moment.

I didn't get a chance to take my usual Straight Up Friday SP in my apartment this morning, so you get this one in of me in my office. Fortunately, I have GREAT light from two large windows in my office, so it works out. Still not in focus completely--although not as bad as usual--but what picture of mine is anymore. Durn non-auto-focus fiddy.
Straight up shot of the ornamented ceiling in the fountain room next to the tomb of Moulay Ismaïl, in the imperial city of Meknes, Morocco. the ceiling is in a pyramidal shape, called a koubba.
I was just trying to see whether the remote was working and liked the shot. So here you go. :)
Today's a busy day so I better get to it.

Looking up at the field lights which surround the track/field on the Subase where I live. We were there to watch my husband's flag-football team play another duty-station's team (sadly, the other team greatly outscored them in the first half, and they were unable to recoup their losses... even though they outscored the opposition by triple in the second half. Oh well...)
