I know there's no Straight Up Sunday group, but it almost sounds like there should be. This week has been fun but tiring and I didn't want to leave the house on Sunday, even though the weather outside was gorgeous. A straight up shot seemed appropriate. Of course, straight ups always end up being the hardest! Especially when your hair's a mess and you have bags under your eyes, but hey, this is how I look 75% of the time. :-)

Just a quick, straight-up SP for today.
We're going to go around and see a lot of the hubby's relatives today and then I'm driving back home to see my family for a few days.
A wild ride on the Duquense Incline Trolley. Straight up and straight down, the trolley has been here since the late 1800's. It is still used today by residents. One student said that she lives down by the waterfront but works in a restaurant a few blocks from the Duquense Station at the top. The trolley saves her over an hour on the bus each way.
I like silly shower curtains. I think bathrooms should have a bit of whimsy to them. Funky colors, silly shower curtains, fun decor. I will never have one of those bathrooms that is picture perfect, with matching towels and bath rug and toothbrush holder.
This is my new shower curtain. It's actually pretty entertaining to try and read the emoticons backwards in the morning. I tend to get up early (when the sun rises) but I don't necessarily function well at that hour. The emoticons for drool and chef and lips usually mess me up.
Can someone tell me why there are emoticons for chef and lips? Drool I get since there are some circumstances when #cockstand isn't appropriate.
It was getting late a couple nights ago as I came down the trail and it got dark on me. Just as I got under these trees a bird cried out and dove at me. I got too close to it's nest, I guess. One set of eyes (those glowing white things in the limbs) are from the eyes of the angry mother...
today was a great sunny winter day for a walk. And the good weather brought out all the photographers it seems. We saw at least 4 other people along the beach with Cameras.
this is the most typical equivalent of "hot sauce" around here. A straight-up bowl of chilis. no messin around. This bowl (in the kitchen of the road-side noodle shop in question, not on the tables) was gigantic but as is typical, each table has a wee bowl too.
