Some Virgin aircraft in temporaty storage at Ciudad Real International Airport (CQM / LERL). Probably when you see this pictures they have already gone back in service.

NIRC 8 and 9 are backing the string of Highliner cars into the storage track along the Fox Lake sub at Rondout, IL.

Just a quick snapshot of my current working space. The visible units here range from small to large. I also have oversized bins out of the picture for unsorted and non-labled parts, and tv, dvd player, etc for use while I'm building (nothing like sitting down to build and watching box sets from things like Star Wars, Bugs Bunny, Family Guy, etc...all the world's problems go away for a while!)

The only unique thing about my storage method, compared to others I've seen, is that I label and sort with drawers in the same fashion as Bricklink catagorizes parts in their catalog. This way I'm "speaking the same language" when it comes to locating a part or deciding where to store it. I've found it extremely helpful since Bricklink's cataloging is thorough, extensive, and seems to function well. If I'm ever confused as to where to put a new piece, or having trouble finding something in my collection, I just go to Bricklink to see where they put it, and compare that to my labeling...it takes me right where I need to go.

I have 2 black repro storage boxes that I use for my bettter Skipper clothing. I keep Ricky's stuff in here, too. You can see his striped jacket.

Lissie, Tx. Grain Company; While riding hwy. 90 back roads the other day, I ran upon this rusty old thing. I imagined at one time, this was a thriving business in this little community? But now it's out of business and replaced down the road with a bigger modern facility. Jobs lost her but gained down the road. I love anything with rust attached to it. Combined with a beautiful blue sky with puffy white clouds, I thought it what a perfect shot. Hope you enjoy too.

These storage boxes come in sets of 3, each one can be placed individually and includes a range of essential seasonings, a must for all kitchens and aspiring chefs! 😅

47812 and 47815 Lost Boys 68-88 trundle along the Down Derby Goods with a couple of translator vehicles running as 5L46 Ely Papworth Sidings to Laira T & R.S.M.D. off to collect another HST rake for storage. The former FGW HST sets are in secure storage at Ely, more than can be said for the former Rover Group KSA-A wagons which have been stored in the Up Sidings for several years now.

Right in the background another USB stick (1 GB capacity). And last but not least on the left side in the background, a network cable, so you can access your data in the cloud.

I wish you all a happy Macro Monday and a great week.

National Grid gas storage site at Partington in Manchester. This was once the site of a large town gas works but then became a major natural gas facility which was used to boost supply at times of peak demand. Since my visit the site has been closed and completely cleared.

WINGAS Storage UK has received consent from the British Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change to develop its depleted gas field at Saltfleetby, Lincolnshire into an underground storage facility for natural gas.

The UK’s need for a greater volume of gas storage, driven by the decline in production form the UK Continental Shelf, has been apparent for some time. The UK has storage capacity of only 4% of its annual consumption, significantly below the average for the larger gas consuming countries of Europe. This creates risks to the continuity of supplies.

Underground gas storage is largely carried out in either a depleted reservoir or in caverns specially created in salt strata. Saltfleetby is a depleted reservoir. The gas-holding strata are some 2.3 km below ground level. It was formerly the largest onshore gas field in the UK.

When filled, it will hold 755 million cubic metres of gas which will normally be released in the winter period over a period of about 100 days. Re-filling will be carried out in the summer. Saltfleetby is in Lincolnshire, 9 kilometres east of Louth and a similar distance from the National Transmission System entry point at Theddlethorpe to which it will be connected by pipeline.

These tracks also have full-size trees growing between the rails.

Old, rusty grain storage bins waiting out the winter with thoughts of warmer, summer weather. These are a fairly common sight in the rural parts of Tennessee...also my favorite parts of the state.

I cleaned up the Mod Barbie display this afternoon. I invested in some more storage boxes for my dolls this month. These are from Vintage Doll Plaza. They are expensive, but I decided that I should store my dolls well if I am going to invest time and money into them. I do not want them to get damaged in piles. I try to store them nude to avoid stains from clothing. Brigitte has panties since she arrived in them. The rest of my Mods are in a couple vintage Barbie cases along with the clothing. I try to keep all of my vintage Barbies and Skipper dolls in boxes like these, too. Some of my Ideal family and all of my Miss Suzettes also have the best storage.
