I know I have ridden past this quite a few times in the past, but never noticed it because always, it's a time of year when the leaves would be out, thereby hiding this beauty! Is it a silo? Just storage? A grain bin? All of the above? LOL I don't know. All I know is I was liking the sun and shadows on it. :D
Vast liquid chemical storage tanks at an old distillery site in Northern Italy. Shot with the stunning Pentax 645Z.
This actually started as a photo of power lines going off into the distance. I liked it when I took the picture and never thought it would morph into museum storage. But here it is, and you know that all of them come alive after the museum closes for the night.
My storage solution, 'cause I don't have a lot of space and this was as compact as I could figure out.

In 1860 Sir John Cracroft Wilson came to Christchurch from India and brought seeds of a few varieties of rhododendrons and raised seedlings. Rhododendrons growing along the drive at Strowan kindled Stead's interest in these flowers, but there were few varieties available in New Zealand. He imported some for Ilam each year and from 1918 used cool storage for importing them.
The soil at Ilam is a heavy clay which is slightly acid, and is known as Ilam pug. It is particularly suited to rhododendrons, azaleas, and other trees.
Stead began trying out layering, grafting and raising seedlings to produce larger and more brilliant flowers. He was a pioneer in using pinus radiata sawdust as a mulch for the plants.
In 1917 Stead was given seeds of the North American varieties and began experimenting with hybridising them.

Conrail Shared Assets CA-51 brings 90+ empty tank cars through Richland, NJ on the Beesleys Point Secondary. Due to a downturn in traffic during the COVID-19 pandemic, many freight cars were sent to the Cape May Seashore Line's Cape May Branch for storage. This unit tank train became part of the storage line during the springtime, and is finally going back into service after several months. Freight traffic on the BEES south of Winslow Junction used to consist primarily of unit coal trains running to the B.L England Power Plant in Marmora, but with the plant closing several years ago the line rarely sees much freight action.

They're out of view in this image, but H57 has been bringing down a plethora of coil cars from storage. Seemingly have spawned out of nowhere, many of us are confused as to how these cars made their way up to Driftwood to begin with.
I have finished covering my plastic storage drawers now. In this photo I covered the 3 drawer storage bin on the left & the 6 drawer bin in the center. In the baskets below are the residents of Lauren Land!

Reflective of the similar post I just made regarding the old Guilford geeps, a similarly beat up C40-9W that CSX conjured up out of storage leads a heavy L072 west at Lincoln.
