Seen here with new Scotchlite stripes on its front end, the locomotive is shuffling new storage cars into place.
Nice of one of the interns to warn the rest of us of the precariously placed fish tanks on the flimsy shelving in our lab's storage space.

LSRM's former DM&IR SD18s 193 and rebuilt 316 shove a long string of empty coal cars towards the Lakefront Line for winter storage. A bit of sun before clouds moved in today.
43007 and 43378 head towards the foot crossing at Bygrave, just east of Baldock, with 5Q46 0716 Laira to Ely Mlf Papworth Sidings. The power cars are rumoured to be heading to Mexico.

So cute. The lids are removable, but they don't really stay on to begin with, it's more like they just lay on top. The widest one is about 1 1/2 inches long, & the smallest is about 1/2 inch.
This is one of the 4 pianos at our house! Yes, I really DO collect about everything . . . This little piano is a 3/4 baby grand, and smaller than many. It sits in our sunroom, and is maybe the second oldest piano here. We have a big heavy ornate upright that is from the 1800s, and a white baby grand in the bedroom that it was said Jerry Lee Lewis played in the studio where we bought it! Downstairs in the art studio, I have my childhood piano that I took lessons on- it was in climate controlled storage when a tornado hit and every unit but ours was practically destroyed. My sister and her family moved it for me, which was a hard task due to the fact there was no electricity for days and they had to find a truck to move it in- Ken & I were away. I was SO thankful!
And I DO play, but very poorly these years, as I do not take time to practice like a real piano owner should! :)

I recently found out that the umbrella bags (usually available at businesses you visit) can be handy to store extra toilet tissue in your closet. (has to be the wider opening though...)
This feels like somebody had a good idea for a set, and Storage Beauty was the next set they were going to make, so they put it in. No storage at all.
A warm June evening in 2009 finds Mid Michigan #24 trundling east on the old GTW Grand Rapids Sub with 50 Bethgons for storage. The Grand Rapids Eastern ultimately stored about 250 of these cars that year.
