My friend Rachel collected stickers in the middle 1990s- the walls of her room were covered in them. When she left the city to go to college, she peeled all the stickers and put them in this book. A few years later, when she moved to Boston, she gave me the book, and I've had it in a closet ever since. Today I took it out and photographed all 60 pages. It's a wonderful time capsule of urban sticker art in New York twenty years ago- lots of forgotten bands, graffiti artists, and clubs. Leave a comment if you notice any interesting ones!
Random stuff I do when I'm supposed to do other things... ^__^;;
I found some really old address labels at my parents house (like, for a dot matrix printer I think) but since that printer is long gone we had a pile of sticker paper. So out of boredom this weekend I made some Digimon Adventure sticker flakes! Now to figure where to stick them!

RJFC Sticker #27 was completed 4/24/2013 using only trash found on the streets of Paris. I left it the same day on a Parking machine along Rue Danton on the Left Bank in Paris, France.

USING TRASH OFF THE STREETS TO MAKE ART ON THE STREETS.
I use only trash and found items to collage these handmade, signed & numbered stickers. They are made to compliment my larger works which in which I use trashy paperback book covers, record & magazine covers, posters, postcards and other mass-produced media as a base for my hand-cut & paste collages, which I usually leave out on the streets for anyone to enjoy (or destroy.)

At school on certain days, we would get a sticker on the bottom of our tray. That is the only one I have left...The bottom right hand corner Scratch and sniff spaghetti one!
Powell Bones Cross Bones sticker. This bootleg came out of a vending machine in front of Wal-Mart, I think in the late 1980's or early 1990's.
