Someone sent me some USPS labels as part of a secret santa package. So when i finally figured out people use them to doodle on i thought i'd try a few mini stencils!

My friend Rachel collected stickers in the middle 1990s- the walls of her room were covered in them. When she left the city to go to college, she peeled all the stickers and put them in this book. A few years later, when she moved to Boston, she gave me the book, and I've had it in a closet ever since. Today I took it out and photographed all 60 pages. It's a wonderful time capsule of urban sticker art in New York twenty years ago- lots of forgotten bands, graffiti artists, and clubs. Leave a comment if you notice any interesting ones!
