I have set myself a lockdown challenge too only take photos in my garden or from my garden. It is going to be interesting to see what effect this has on my photographic skills. With no travelling involved I will be able to take advantage of the change in the light conditions, and hopefully this will help me improve my eye for a composition.
Stay safe Stay Home.
I must say I am jealous!
Now that everyone’s staying home, I think animals are enjoying themselves everywhere- inside homes or outside.
Stay safe friends and thank you for your visit ;))
Containment / confinement
The spring rain turned to a shower... Then I saw this cute buddy sheltering in the birds' house !

As we stay home to keep safe, our truckers keep on trucking. Thank you to everyone still working to keep us all safe. Hope everyone is well and staying safe.
This valley view shows a truck going up this valley hill. My view is going to be green soon once the weather warms up. So looking forward to that. I see I have a new bucket must have blown in with our strong winds here in the prairies.
When life says "stay home," I say, explore what's around the house.
To that end I took an online photography workshop on photographing flowers with Kathleen Clemons, through the Santa Fe workshops program.

Even though I've been in photography since High School (in the 60's), there is always something to learn. And I consider flowers to be a weaker part of my photo game. Excellent workshop it was (six sessions over three weeks, 2 per) with Kathleen.

I will probably be posting more then usually in the next two weeks if not longer to help keep myself busy. Our state of Illinois is on a "stay-at-home' order. To help slow the spread of the coronavirus. Our stay at home order started Saturday at 5pm. The order will mean residents can still go to the grocery stores, put gas in their cars, take walks outside and make pharmacy runs.
Hope you all don't get too annoyed of my car photos. But I will also be posting some newly acquired postcards and a antique Victorian photo album filled with cabinet cards & CDV's
Photo from our stay-home spring. Our county is now in stage 4 of 5, but we remain mostly home by choice. COVID-19 cases are inching back up in our region because some people insist on making bad choices that lead to "spreader" events and new clusters.
Today's stone sculpture wasn't anything like as precarious as it looks from this angle. In fact, when occasional gusts of wind blew, it withstood them with a pleasing 'wobble'. :-))

I enjoy throwing curtains up into the air.
I stayed home sick from school today, which felt really weird because I never miss school. but I read The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan which I have been waiting to come out forever, and it was amazingly good but it ended on the biggest cliffhanger ever, which I hate and now I have to wait a year for the next book. So upsetting.
I think that I'm going to be buying either a canon rebel xsi or a canon rebel xs in the next couple of days. Could anyone help me decide which is better? and I was also wondering if anyone knew if I'd be able to use the two lenses (one of which is a tamron) that I use for my brother's canon rebel film camera on a digital camera?
