While the engine shops were full with power stored out of the cold, the high bay engine shop had two residents. In for some electrical work in 392, which was minor compared to 399, which is still undergoing repairs from an accident with a road grader several months back. While it should be back soon, more work is still needed as it took quite a strike.

This is a tree crab that lives in tree hollows as seen in the image. Ongoing lockdown reminded me of this image I created at Amboli while herping. Color is eponymous to its name. But difficult to capture with flash light as different colors gets reflected. Therefore changed WB only on the crab close to Tungsten color balance and scene is having different WB.

BLU T31 rolls past a popular spot in Asheville, NC as it makes its way back to Canton, NC.
Chalk advice from back in April. We're back to lock down mode hoping it doesn't take off.

With the "Stay Home Stay Safe" order in effect right now, with certain exceptions, including recreational activities being one of those, the small farm town of Ashley, MI. is nearly a ghost town. In the few minutes I was there, only 1 vehicle passed through. The eerie silence that covered the town was palpable, but all that was broken when an extra GLC southbound rolled into town after running light up to Ithaca and picked up 25 loads of processed soy beans from the new Zeeland Farms facility that is still not running at peak capacity, but is still proving to be a big new customer for GLC. While no one may have been enjoying the lovely sun and paying their respects at the fallen soldiers memorial, the calm seemed appropriate given our current situation.

Today's stone sculpture wasn't anything like as precarious as it looks from this angle. In fact, when occasional gusts of wind blew, it withstood them with a pleasing 'wobble'. :-))
After staying safe and staying home for months, only leaving the house for essentials, we decided to see if the arboretum near us was open again.
As luck would have it it was! The area surrounding the lake was very overgrown and the footbridge you have to cross was nearly hidden from view - looking more like the entrance to a secret garden than anything. We didn't stay long or venture too far this time but it sure was nice to get out for a change of scenery!
And of course we managed to get some shots of new things to post. So hopefully you will enjoy the "change of scenery" over the next few days, too.😊
