Just after sunrise this morning, I saw 9 shrimp boats off the coast, and a storm rolling in. After a few shots, I saw what looked like a water spout, so I grabbed a longer lens. Yep. Water Spout! It looks closer to the boat that it was, but I'm betting the guys working on the shrimp boats got a little bit concerned.
At least we think it's a crabapple. It grew here on its own, and every year it has a big crop of little "apples" the size of a marble.
I was pleased with these shots, since the bokeh is way better than I'm usually able to get.

Evansburg State Park is a 3,349-acre Pennsylvania state park in Lower Providence, Lower Salford, Skippack, Towamencin, and Worcester Townships in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania in the United States. The park has a variety of habitats including forests, meadows, old fields, and farmland. The park offers a variety of recreational opportunities including picnicking, golf, ball fields, biking, hiking, hunting, horseback riding, and fishing. Evansburg State Park is near Collegeville and Norristown just off Pennsylvania Route 363.
Happy Solstice! It is the beginning of the end of the great darkness! The days are so short, dreary and dark, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. This awful year is almost over. The DuPont State Forest is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains between Hendersonville and Brevard, North Carolina. Its 10,400 acres of forest feature four major waterfalls on the Little River and several on the Grassy Creek.
The original 7600 acre forest was established in 1996 through a generous bargain sale from the DuPont Corporation. In 2000, the Forest was expanded by two property additions, including the spectacular 2200 acre tract in the center of the Forest containing High Falls, Triple Falls, and Bridal Veil Falls. We found real beauty of Fall in the Ferdinand State Forest. It was mid-morning and very quiet. We found a bench near the lake and enjoyed the serenity and seeing two eagles soar over the lake and land in a tree on the opposite side.
