Para mis camaradas, el tema de la quincena es AGUA
Como tenía fresas, tenía agua y tenía ganas, me marqué un splash para el juego quincenal ;)

Splashing into 2014 ... and back to reality after a couple of weeks getting lost in the beautiful South Pacific Islands of Vanuatu. Will catch up with everyone as soon a possible!

Managed to make a makeshift tripod with a few books and a shaky table tripod from Kathmandu (designed for compact cameras). The flash was fired from the left of the image and was both bounced from the ceiling, and omnibounced for the fill-in. One hand on the shutter, the other releasing the raspberry.
First off, thanks soo much John for writing me a testimonial!! Be sure to check him out, his work is amazing!
On the photoshoot with my church photography group last week we got to the ocean at 6pm, and had lots of time to kill before the sun went down. We passed the time taking splash pictures! About 4 of us each took turns throwing the rocks into the green/mud slush by the ocean, it was so much fun :)

I wish it was a picture of Jess, but she just stands in the awter wondering what all the fuss is about!

I totally forgot how insane fun this was to do!
I made these dancing paint splashes since 2009 but the last time I did one was over a year ago and I think the flashtriggers I had back then weren't working that well...
So last night I wanted to try again, and the Cactus V4 (which I love..!) did an awesome job and I got a lot of good results!
I started out with paint mixed with some water but that went all over the place...
So Jo said... try some yoghurt in there...
It was past the date and ready to be thrown out any way ;)
And it worked perfectly!
I'm pretty sure you'll be seeing more splashes this 365 :)
Also thanks to Chris for his cool testimonial!

The Bugis fountain is one of those places where you can go again and again to shoot without getting bored. This is from an old shoot - see more here, here and here.

Captured in Universal Studio, Hollywood, in a water playground. A young boy got caught off guard by an unexpected outpouring of water from above.
Here is another underwater picture with Joshua in the pool. This one was captured as he jumped into a floating ring from the diving board with me sitting on the bottom of the pool with the camera.
