A look at the finale of Splash Mountain, featuring many audio-animatronic characters previously used in America Sings. Photo taken upon exiting the attraction through the pedestrian path when the ride was halted by cast members.

Setup for shots in the Splash set. One SB-800 left and one SB-24 right, both at 1/64. Fired the SB-24 with a poverty wizard and SB-800 in SU-4 slave mode (I only have one wireless trigger).

I have a new found respect for splash shots, they are quite tricky to get right and require quite a lot of cleaning up afterwards...

For this series I photographed in Raw to allow for some post processing which in turned out to be more or less necessary. Nothing advanced, just some simple post processing in iPhoto: adjusting levels/curves/contrast, bringing back highlights, white balance, straighten. crop and sharpening.

An aquarium would've been best for the shots where I drop stuff, unfortunately I only had a round glass jar which means you can see some flash highlight reflecting in the lemon shots (I cropped the shell tighter so it is out of frame).

As we're playing the song "creeping death",

the ring on my little finger kept scratching my palm,

and finally made the splashed blood on drum.

By the way, this is a "mobile" drumming set :p

This set of drum moved a lot while I was playing,

so as my DW5000 double padel.

However, it's a great night and we had fun anyway ^^

A tiny Splash Mountain is enjoyed by tiny guests zipping down a tiny flume in a tiny log. It's amazing that something so tiny eventually gave way to something that made such a big splash with Disneyland guests.

Splash Mountain at Magic Kingdom, Walt Disney World

After taking the usual photos of the statue with the water spouting out of it in the middle of the fountain, I was watching the drops splash into the water below. The circles and ripples were so beautiful, so I stepped up onto the low wall around the basin/pond of the fountain and started snapping away looking down into the water from above. I ended up really liking this one with my shadow on the water. The drops almost look like thought bubbles. My hair looks oddly short and it's not. Must have been the camera strap around my neck...

A gentle Mediterranean wave splashes against the rocks at Capo Comino in Sardinia. Capo Comino is a beautiful spot with plenty of parking and a quaint Café where you can have something to drink and soak up the natural beauty of sea, beach and rocks, with the small island, Isola Rossa, in the background to right.

Dropping a wristwatch into a water tank. Inspired by photos I found here on flickr. You can find a description of the setup I used here: www.wristwatchphoto.com/2009/05/splashing-around-for-pane...

Brincando assim molhei minha H7 e ferrei tudo (ela agora está com fungos na lente.. fora que, na época, deu uma pane eletrica que "sarou" quando ela secou)
