What a difference a few days makes. I captured these last week in the glorious shunshine. Now they are covered in snow.....IN MARCH.
One i'm pretty chuffed with from Pettico Wick bay, St. Abbs today. Taken about an hour before high tide. Always wanted to get back here since my first visit last year, when the tide was out/very low. Seen the waves advancing onto this rock from up on the slipway, so made my way over to it and got this, and got a bit of a soaking for it too, but I feel it was worth it :o)

My nephew was sitting in the water when a wave came by and splashed us. No worries, this kiddo practically lives at the beach, so he loves the water already. And despite how it looks, my camera didn't get wet either.

I so wish I could paint, but the second best option is Photoshop and Topaz Simplify. Enjoy!
Photo taken during family vacation - June 2008.
We got to play with milk and water at the macro course on Monday. We didn't get much time at each setup so these are a bit underexposed. I'm still learning my way around the 40d and have no experience at all with flash.
However the aim was to find out how to set up these sort of shots and I think I could probably do that now - just need the kit to set up my flash off camera.
Your comments, advice and favourite's are much appreciated.

I took this photo at the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. This is main hill of Splash Mountain. This photo was taken from an observation area where people stand to watch their family members come down the hill..
Hopefully this will brighten your day during this dark period of time. Enjoy!
