Tanjung Lesung, Banten, Indonesia.
The picture was taken just a second before me and my friend Wandi put up our gear to avoid the splash. The wave on Tanjung Lesung are always amazing, sometimes you cannot predict its a big one or the slow one.
Os deseo una feliz semana, amigos mios...
I wish you a happy week, dear friends...
Ich wünsche euch eine wunderbare Woche, liebe Freunde...
Liked the reflection of the splash on this one even if the point of contact not in focus or blurred a bit but the lower shutter speed. Tried to catch some of the melting snow falling off a roof and splashing on the pavement. All shot with my 70-200 & 1.4TC. Quite a challenge for my slow reflexes. :) Shallow DOF so only part close to in focus. I always like watching these but they never fall in the same place twice. :) Saving a few that came close.
Saving one more group of recent photos to albums, sorry for the large number.....again! :-)
#12/52 (Freeze)
I'd wanted to have a go at capturing water splashes for a long time and eventually got around to it with these weeks theme.
Canon 430 camera right @ 1/64 with white reflector opposite.
Splash Day = Dia de bagunça!!!

A North American, non-breeding male, Hooded Merganser (Lophodytes cucullatus), splashing around. Seen here at a wildfowl conservancy in N.Norfolk. UK.
Using Splash Art Kit to create this images. Using clear chilled water in to a funnel shaped glass vase. 3 Nikon SB200 flashes, one from the front left with a Red Gel filter, one from the front right facing in with a Blue Gel filter and one facing to the rear without a filter. Background is a multi coloured sheet.
A splash of colour mixed into the vibrant green leaves of the holly bush, Further mixed with the dead/dormant life behind it.
Made Explore on Dec 7th 2007.
Droplets of water landing in a dish of water make for wonderful patterns on the surface and in the drops themselves.
Another photo of Maríanna, this shoot was stylized by her. Ambient light + silver reflector. Thx to Nonni for assisting us, in this shot he also went into the water to be closer with the reflector.
