I don't like to fly. Before Monday, it was more than eight years since I had flown. It took a lot of energy and willpower to keep that plane in the air, but I did it. And flying has changed since I last took to the air. These newfangled TVs and mapquest on board. Amazing stuff. Knowing exactly where we were and how fast we were going was somewhere between excrutiating (at the start it was going way too slow) and comforting (checking in on the altitude every once in a while is a nice touch for the fearful flyer).
Co-sponsored by Alumni Engagement and Career Services, Speed Networking is a chance for students to connect with alumni and get to know what career fields they work in, what they majored in, and how they got there.
Another night out with the S90. Loving the colors, though the light sensitivity is a delicate issue

A person called Ken mentioned that I should shoot plates. I don't as a rule tend to like brittle targets.
But I did have a set of tiny plates from a long ago garage sale sitting in the slush pile.
it was kind of neat to see the "classic" corona of pellet shrapnel from the hit. More delay than the next photo.
Cheers.
Noah Purdy sets up for a shot with his vintage 1948 Speed Graphic with a Polaroid Back shooting Fuji intantant film in front of the Heritage Museum in Tarentum, Pennsylvania.
As ridden by Fred Rompelberg, 268 km/h on October 3rd 1995. He had crashed twice before this attempt at speeds above 200 km/h.
Check out the Campagnolo headset seatpost and Brooks saddle :)
Original decals on earlier attempts were Colnago instead of red bull, although I don't think the bike was actually built by Colnago.
