My second (and maybe last) speeder for the awesome LSB contest.. I wish I could do another but I may not have time. Hope you like this one, it's my favorite of the two I made.

Speeding across the lush terrain of Endor, Luke Skywalker attempts to chase down an Imperial Scout Trooper who has become aware of his presence.

Built for the Eurobricks Star Wars Episode VI Community Build. The speederbike designs were inspired by Legohaulic and Larry Lars.

Was in a Speed Champions mood this morning. I think I got them all built now in LDD. We have a few of them now. This series has def influenced a lot of builders. The "speed champions" style has created a bunch of alternate builds here on Flickr and MocPages. :)

A small speeder to be used in cities.

This was built for a contest on LOWLUG.

The best part about the F-1 is that you can change the viewfinder. Today the speed finder I bought for it arrived. It works great as a waist level viewfinder. I can't wait to take it to the streets.

CSX freight Q332 blasts through Joppa, MD with a duo of GE motors in the little bit of light that could barely be seen

Well, I hadn't uploaded anything abstract or experimental in a while, so when I came across this photo (taken in December 2012 from the passenger side window of the car as we were driving into the Airdrie Festival of Lights) I thought it would be perfect!

This is a shot of some crazy motion blur / light squiggles that happened as I was snapping a row of beautifully lit up Christmas Trees lining the avenue into the field where the lights are set up.

My lens took a long time to snap shut due to the speed at which we were traveling and the amount of lights that were shining, so this was the result!

It made me think of a ship traveling at warp speed; maybe an interstellar Santa?

I truly hope you are all enjoying this final weekend of 2013!

As I was capturing pictures of the stars a car decided to mess up my picture but it actually made the picture 10x better with the light trails.

Dear Passengers of Surfin' Bus #2, if the speed of this vehicle drops below 143 mph, the man in the back will pass gnarly gas, killing everyone aboard.

I'm pretty sure with the way Keanu Reeves' career is going, he'll sign up for it, it's Sandra Bullock we have to work on. Maybe if we have debris from the bus in the first movie circling the earth, crashing into other buses causing the debris field to grow.

Or maybe, I shouldn't watch Gravity and Speed on the same day anymore.

"Speed Of Sound"

How long before I get in?

Before it starts, before I begin?

How long before you decide?

Before I know what it feels like?

Where To, where do I go?

If you never try, then you'll never know.

How long do I have to climb,

Up on the side of this mountain of mine?

Look up, I look up at night,

Planets are moving at the speed of light.

Climb up, up in the trees,

every chance that you get,

is a chance you seize.

How long am I gonna stand,

with my head stuck under the sand?

I'll start before I can stop,

before I see things the right way up.

All that noise, and all that sound,

All those places I got found.

And birds go flying at the speed of sound,

to show you how it all began.

Birds came flying from the underground,

if you could see it then you'd understand?

Ideas that you'll never find,

All the inventors could never design.

The buildings that you put up,

Japan and China all lit up.

The sign that I couldn't read,

or a light that I couldn't see,

some things you have to believe,

but others are puzzles, puzzling me.

All that noise, and all that sound,

All those places I got found.

And birds go flying at the speed of sound,

to show you how it all began.

Birds came flying from the underground,

if you could see it then you'd understand,

ah when you see it then you'll understand?

All those signs, I knew what they meant.

Some things you can invent.

Some get made, and some get sent,

Ooh?

Birds go flying at the speed of sound,

to show you how it all began.

Birds came flying from the underground,

if you could see it then you'd understand,

ah, when you see it then you'll understand?

The classic snow speeder, with its gigantic, powerful engines, was the fastest, most fun way to travel the tundra. It was difficult to control and balance the thrust of the massive twin jets. However, those pilots who survived their apprenticeship could exploit the thrust to hop over pingoes and Pingus.

Flying a snow speeder was solitary experience. The machines would kick up roughly the same amount of snow as somebody on twin-tip fat skis, making them unpleasant to fly behind.
