On this warm July day at the Bristol Renaissance Faire, I saw this lady walking around by herself several times, and she always had the sword on her head. With her noticable endowments in other areas, I'm sure she would have attracted plenty of notice without the weapon, but with it, she left a trail of rivited yet bewildered onlookers in her wake.
Kalighat Patuapara is a traditionally potters’ quarter in southern Kolkata
Most workshops in the area are small and chock-a-block, forcing artisans to push their idols out in the open. Around 900 idols are made at the Kalighat patuapara every year.

Durga Puja - the ceremonial worship of the supremely radiant mother goddess, is one of the most important festivals, is celebrated every year in the month of October with much gaiety and grandeur in India and abroad, especially in Bengal, where the ten-armed goddess riding the lion and killing the Buffalo-Demon (Mahishasura) is worshiped with great passion and devotion. In Durga, the Gods bestowed their powers to co-create a beautiful goddess with ten arms, each carrying their most lethal weapon. The tableau of Durga also features her four children - Kartikeya, Ganesha, Saraswati and Lakshmi.
The huge temporary canopies - held by a framework of bamboo poles and draped with colourful fabric - that house the icons are called 'pandals'. Modern pandals in Kolkata are innovative, artistic and decorative at the same time, offering a visual spectacle for the numerous visitors who go 'pandal-hopping' during the four days of Durga Puja.

Dès que j’ai vu ce halo, je me suis précipité dans le pâturage ... Dès qu’elles m’ont vu, les vaches, elles, se sont précipitées vers moi ... J'étais leur spectacle et on aurait dit qu'elles s'inquiétaient de me voir ainsi couché par terre ... J'aime la douceur de leur regard.

As soon as I saw this halo, I rushed into the field ... As soon as they saw me, the cows rushed towards me ... I was their show and it looked like they were worried about me lying down on the floor ... I love the gentleness in their eyes

night show "Galileo" by the Company DEUS EX MACHINA a night of star evening.
Again water spray onto a spectacle lens but this time the flower is actually a photo in photoshop on my monitor, so was taken with the light from the LCD at ISO1000 instead of my normal flash. This gives all sorts of interesting possibilities :)
