Spectacle Island, Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area, Boston, Massachusetts.
This island used to be where Boston's trash was dumped. Then excavated earth from the Big Dig was dumped here. Landscaping and plants were later added and the island opened as a park in 2006.
