Hordes of people mobbing to get a photo of the Mona Lisa, many of them shooting selfies.
We took a trip to Paris with a life-long best friend a couple of years ago. Despite her many travels elsewhere, she had only been to Paris once, and wanted to go to the Louvre.
We spent most of our time in the many (inexplicably) less popular areas. However, we wanted to see the scene at the Mona Lisa, and it did not disappoint. To our amazement, the crowds were even worse than the last time we visited, over a decade earlier.
How things change over a decade! The last time I was there, people had real cameras (not phone cameras), and would wait patiently to get a photo of the painting without anyone in it.
Now, no one wanted a photo of just the painting, they wanted selfies with it. I'm not sure what this says about people in general, but I couldn't help being amused by it and snapping a few photos. This one with the man clearly taking a selfie from a long way away is my favorite.
Un numéro hyper dynamique pour vos soirées Saloon ou Moulin Rouge. Notre French cancan typique plaira à tous les publics. L'énergie des danseuses est contagieuse, et leur flexibilité, démesurée!
