On this warm July day at the Bristol Renaissance Faire, I saw this lady walking around by herself several times, and she always had the sword on her head. With her noticable endowments in other areas, I'm sure she would have attracted plenty of notice without the weapon, but with it, she left a trail of rivited yet bewildered onlookers in her wake.

Again water spray onto a spectacle lens but this time the flower is actually a photo in photoshop on my monitor, so was taken with the light from the LCD at ISO1000 instead of my normal flash. This gives all sorts of interesting possibilities :)

Image taken near a small part of the largest manmade lake in Europe (250 sq km) and one of the world’s
largest, called Alqueva. Around this area, we also can find some of the darkest sky regions in Portugal,
like Monsaraz, inserted in Dark Sky Reserve Alqueva, the world’s first certified ‘Starlight Tourism
Destination’.
From left to right, in the land, we could see the silhouette of the photographer, Babak Tafreshi, that was
also making his images of the night sky. Next to the tree, we can see the light of the Monsaraz Castle, also
reflected in the calm water of the lake.
Even with some light pollution coming directly from the village castle, the sky above shows a rich variety
of deep sky objects that are visible in the infrared camera, like Canon EOS 60Da, as well as star clusters,
an asteroid and the Planet Jupiter. From left to right, in the sky, we could identify M46 and M47, M41, and
above Sirius the Seagull nebula IC2177. Near the center top image, is visible another infrared emission from
Rosette Nebula. Below, the Barnard´s Loop, Horse Head and Orion nebula M42, are strongest emissions. A
little bit to the right making the center upper image, is the Lambda Orionis (Sh2 264), Messia. Above the
star aldebaran, is visible the open cluster NGC1647 and near to the left, the Vesta asteroid, and above it
another open cluster the NGC1746. Below is the brightest sky object capturing in this image, the planet
Jupiter, shining near the pleaides M45. In the upper right corner, is located the last infrared brightest
deep sky object, the California nebula, NGC1499.

Aquanura 06/07/2018 22h55
Aquanura is a play of light, fire and water. A dance, a spectacle, a symphony and a great show which is best seen right after sunset. And because this is captured just before eleven in the evening that means that is is high Summer.
Aquanura
Aquanura is the name of a fountain system in the Efteling theme park in the Netherlands. The premiere took place on 31 May 2012 on the park's 60th anniversary, and it opened to the public the following day. The fountain was developed by WET Design, Efteling and Tebodin Consultants & Engineers. The fountain is the largest in Europe and the third largest in the world, after The Dubai Fountain and the Fountains of Bellagio] though it could better be compared as a smaller version of Disney's World of Color.
The show falls within the scope of the Frog King theme. As such, 4 large frog replicas are placed in the pond.
Aquanura has a total of 200 fountains, subdivided in 9 types, each with its own reach and effect. 4 of the types are custom designed and built for this project, as are the light effects. 800 lamps will be placed in the pond, and 29 light- and audio posts are placed around the pond, with Moving heads on top, all in support of the water show. The super shooters reach a height of 45 meters, well under their listed capacity.
The whole project was constructed by Water Entertainment Technologies (WET), Tebodin Netherlands B.V., Heijmans NV, Kuijpers Piping & Procestechniek, Hoppenbrouwers Elektrotechniek B.V. and Primagaz Nederland B.V. at a total cost of € 17.000.000. The watershow can normally be seen at closing time of the park, extra shows are scheduled on busy days and days with extended opening hours. Since the opening of the original Aquanura, the symphony has changed. It has been remade with a couple of new song added.
Aquanura is located in the former Rowing Pond, next to the Fata Morgana in the themed area Fantasierijk.
