The box on the line to March, closed in November 1982, seen on 5 May 1984. I believe that it is now on the Nene Valley Railway.

Arriving with the 14.55 505 service from King's Lynn, this Trident 2/ East Lancs Myllenium was formerly Norfolk Green no.13, now Stagecoach 18278.
66151 & 66102 DIT stand at Spalding after hauling 1A31 the 1305 from Leeds back from Lucks Road crossing following the failure of 67028.
33.053 heads away from Spalding at Welland bridge after the flower festival,unfortunately the good weather of the morning didn't last the day.The train is running on the line to March at this point,the only thing left being the bridge,l suspect it then went to Peterborough,Stamford,Corby and down the MML to Mitre bridge.Hard to believe that a 33 traversed this route.
On 31 March 1987, a 114 stops at Spalding on a Peterborough - Doncaster train. The station had recently been rationalised and the abandoned trackbeds can be seen on the right. Houses have now been built in this area.

Unfortunately I didn't quite get the left hand end of the diagram in. I can see no details of locking levers for the level crossings which were either side of the river bridge, were the signals released by the 'Down' indication for the barriers?
The 10.29 Doncaster - Cambridge fronted by a 'Derby Lightweight' DMU about to cross the River Welland on the outskirts of Spalding on the now closed 'Joint'. Traffic finished on the 27th Nov 1982.

Arriving with the 14.15 505 service from King's Lynn, Trident 2/ ALX400, formerly Norfolk Green no.11, now Stagecoach 17606.
The small lettering on the bodyside reads "Norfolk Green" and underneath "Part of the Stagecoach Group", and along with the five digit number these appear to be the only changes under the new regime.
Peterborough - Skegness 'Derby 2-Car' / Class 114. Guess at late 1968 /early 1969. Everything to the right of the tower located between the bridges is no longer railway; the photo-position is possibly now in someone's kitchen [scanned slide].
47406 arrives from March with stock for a return excursion train.
The March line no longer exists nor does the fine building on the left. It looks like a gate keepers house but if anyone knows the facts please comment.
Colas's 56094 is ready for departure with the 17.00 Spalding - Carlisle NY.
Let's hope this traffic flow will continue.

On 20 November 2021, 801107 passes Spalding on the diverted 1330 Kings Cross - Leeds. Note the rabbit artwork on the down platform, which is intended to denote springtime.
On a very overcast November 16th 1981, BR Class 08 shunter 08137 stands looking rather forlorn in the yard adjacent to Spalding station. The vanfits behind the loco would have been used for sugar beet traffic. The Spalding beet factory closed in 1989
This locomotive began its life on the Scottish Region in December 1955, moving to Lincoln in November 1968. It remained on Lincoln's books until withdrawal came a year after this picture was taken in November 1982. Its final journey was from Doncaster to Swindon for breaking up which occurred in 1985.

The 4L87 09.31 Tees Dock to Felixstowe North liner heads south - we are looking at the loco hitching a ride on the back of the train btw!
On 20 November 2021, 158785 stops at Spalding on the 1200 Peterborough - Doncaster. The train ran wrong line through the station as the lift was out of order.

Stagecoach ADL Enviro 300 awaits departure with a 505 service to Long Sutton.
The service was formerly operated until a few years back by local company Norfolk Green, which was taken over by Stagecoach.
Another one of Lincolnshires finest, the sun came out today and we had both cameras out trying some different stuff.
