Corner Beat
Few months ago by chance and because a friend in common we (My wife Kichi, my son Tomeji and I) ended up eating in a stranger’s house Andi Teichmann.
He was extremely friendly, cooking a delicious pasta, introducing us to a group of really interesting people and his lovely son and wife.
At the end of the night he gave us a CD “It is our latest project, check it out” the name was “Karachi Files”
And all can I say is this album is full of beautiful experimental music, that I heard almost every day and I started to make a painting of every each song of the record.
Here is Corner Beat
29 x 21 cm collage on paper
Thanks for everything
Corner Beat

Memories of Southall station It was the Thursday before Easter Sunday, and I had stationed myself at my old childhood spotting haunt of Southall footbridge to photograph some of the Easter relief services that were timetabled. Of course back then there was plenty of traction to distract the photographer :)
50023 'Howe' is seen here accelerating away from a red signal with an eastbound parcels train. Note the old footbridge that used to pass over the tracks here, allowing Southall residents to get quickly over the railway without walking up to the road bridge. There was also an 'off-chute' with steps leading to the diesel depot - ostensibly for railway staff only, but which became a well-used spot for train spotters over the years (yours truly included) - all now sadly dismantled (and taken away to Didcot Railway Centre apparently). 50023 is wearing the original version of NSE livery with upward stripes on the cabs and white window surrounds - this livery was superseded by a darker shade of blue, straight lines and no white paint around the windows.
More exciting is the fact that I have her on audio tape - you can hear my recording of 50023 'Howe' on this day in the following link😍 soundcloud.com/sound-vision-10193594/class-50-heaven-part...
Locomotive History
D423 entered service 11-May-68
Renumbered 50023 in 1974
Named 'Howe' 17-May-78
Withdrawn 15-Oct-90
After ending up at C. F. Booth's of Rotherham, 'Howe' did eventually make it into preservation, but was used for spares and eventually cut up. It actually spent 14 years languishing at various railway dumps and scrapyards before being broken up by H.Needle Railroad Co. at Barrow Hill Depot in March 2004.
Taken with a Soviet made Zenith TTL SLR camera and 300mm telephoto lens, using Kodak ASA100 colour negative film. Scanned from the original negative with no digital restoration.
You can see a random selection of my railway photos here on Flickriver: www.flickriver.com/photos/themightyhood/random/

"She speaks like the rain,
But she howls at the moon.
She runs like the sun in the winter,
She's not coming home soon.
She follows the rain,
She runs like the water.
She revels in all his pain,
She hits like her father
She speaks like she wants,
Words dripping with disdain
She tells you she loves another,
But she keeps you in awe, keeps you insane.
'Cause she don't give a shit about you,
She will let you run away,
So just run away, run away
No she don't give a shit about you,
She will let you run away,
So just run away
No she don't give a fucking shit about you,
She will let you run away,
So just run away.
No, she don't give a shit about you,
She will let you run away,
So just run away."

The Concept:
We’ve been living our lives at a rate of 24 hours per complete earth axis rotation at 365 days per complete circumference around the sun. We exist in our human form that is allowed at this speed of life. For one night, we will halt this speed to stop time; allowing our forms which hide between the threads of time to be released. In this timesphere, our alternate creatures celebrate their freedom from the clutches of passing time; relishing their freedom to finally come out of the shadows and explore. Come to “Timesphere” as your inner creature which exists deep in your timeless self.

The Intent:
We are putting all efforts into creating a reunion gathering to solidify the connections we all made with ourselves and others from Fractalfest, our 3 day gathering this summer. We invite you to part of an event which has both the wild and calming aspects. Together, let's find a balance in life and become as close to yin and yang, the Hunab Ku. Also to realize this balance is itself balanced with chaos. All we ask is you be respectful of yourself, of others, and of the space.

****The Conduit (Hartford, CT) 4-hour Sound Meditation****
www.facebook.com/TheConduitGongs
The Conduit is a team of musicians who practice the art of performance-'sound-meditation' for individuals or groups to align, and ~find balance within~ specializing in the ancient art of sound meditation: a technique that creates a state of effortless relaxation and a natural environment for self-healing
Individual wellness and peace is the first step towards a utopian world. Only when one emanates the lifestyle of balance and harmony, can one expect to transfer some into the community surrounding themselves. We believe that the through the modality of meditation everyone has the power for introspection and growth. Sound, particularly from the gongs, has a unique ability to clear mental clutter, streamlining the meditation practice.
We utilize Gongs, singing bowls, and positive intention to decrease mental distraction, allowing the body the chance return to its natural resonance.

LASERS AT MIDNIGHT
[Escrita por / Written by William Drake]
I've got this jungle fever
running in my veins
this black lady
is driving me crazy again
the way she dance
is mad insane, don't stop
the way she get low
is burning my soul
Now I'm back on Earth
on my brand new Ducati
running, let's go
all the girls get so naughty
come closer, get real
come on, to make a deal
you stay with me tonight
and I give you the paradise
Rio na balada
novinha na parada
São Paulo, BH
com estilo pra pirar
Goiânia e POA
Fortaleza, Curitiba
a terra do Samba
vem pra cá!
É no Funk, EDM, Sertanejo
na vibe do beijo
chama o povão
pra dançar até o chão
Brasileiras, que delícia
só na batida
Vem pra pista!
É top, so Drop!
Te quiero mucho
It's a party outside
Lasers at Midnight
girls, go topless
break on the breakdown
It's a rave outside
Lasers at Midnight
So drunk, fiesta
get your freak on
It's a balada outside
lasers at midnight
shake your booty
make them move
It's blazing outside
lasers at midnight
When I lose myself
in the music, It's life
to slay the floor
with her on my side
Her name is Shaniqua
in the lasers she fades
It's the magic of love
from a very distant place
Fire on the club
It's getting hot and prophane
so fierce, step up
don't let yourself be tamed
when I dance, let loose
is like holy water on hell
washing my skull
my entire skull
I've got this jungle fever
running through my veins
this beautiful lady
is driving me insane
girl get down on me
cause there's nothing to blame
the way you get low, let's go
is burning my soul
Friday night
I want to live it up
start the show
4 million bucks
Saturday now
burn the gasoline
It's a mad blowout
a new morphine
The city is mine
I'm on a rush
on my bloodline
I'm the royal flush
É cada melodia
que muda o meu dia
Na pompa
Sou brasileiro, que honra!
É top, so Drop!
Te quiero mucho
It's a party outside
Lasers at Midnight
girls, go topless
break on the breakdown
It's a rave outside
Lasers at Midnight
So drunk, fiesta
get your freak on
It's a balada outside
lasers at midnight
shake your booty
make them move
It's blazing outside
lasers at midnight
I play my song
inside the lights
I dance to death
It's my life!
