A quick addition to the Somacro social media styled icons (originated by the crafty CND-eh folks at veodesign.com), for SoundCloud.com.
icns file (optimized for display at multiple sizes) also available, at cl.ly/Lk14 .
If you believe that you excel in any of the topics covered by the SHARE conference, and you feel that you deserved to become a delegate at the conference, please give us your reasons for that. Follow the propostions, send us your material and become our delegate.
DJs & PRODUCERS
If you are an artist or engineer, there are two ways to apply for delegate status.
1. - Make a minimix featuring tunes published by the EXIT label
2. - Create a sound logo for the SHARE Conference
Minimix is a short DJ mix, 5-10 minutes in length, consisting of as many tracks. Only the EXIT label tracks are to be used for that purpose. You can download the tracks at www.exitmusic.tv
There is no set mixing technique. It is all up to you. Go analogue or digital, because anything goes.
Share your sounds: soundcloud.com/shareconference/dropbox
Sound Logo is a short distinctive melody or sequence of sound effects that represent the sonic identity of a brand (in this case, the SHARE Conference). The logo should not involve a voice pronouncing the name of the conference. The duration of the sound logo should not exceed 10 seconds.
Send me your sounds: soundcloud.com/groups/shareconference/dropbox
The competition is open until midnight on March 10, 2011. The results will be announced a few days later and the winners will be notified and accredited shortly. Thank you for your interest and involvement.

"She speaks like the rain,
But she howls at the moon.
She runs like the sun in the winter,
She's not coming home soon.
She follows the rain,
She runs like the water.
She revels in all his pain,
She hits like her father
She speaks like she wants,
Words dripping with disdain
She tells you she loves another,
But she keeps you in awe, keeps you insane.
'Cause she don't give a shit about you,
She will let you run away,
So just run away, run away
No she don't give a shit about you,
She will let you run away,
So just run away
No she don't give a fucking shit about you,
She will let you run away,
So just run away.
No, she don't give a shit about you,
She will let you run away,
So just run away."

SML Pro Blog: SoundCloud = Innovative Social Network for Musicians
SoundCloud is a social network startup for musicians based in Berlin. Originally from Stockholm, the founders created the site after they have grown "tired of getting emails with YouSentIt links or FTP log-ins just to be able to check out our friends latest soon-to-be released tracks."
Just a couple of years ago, when you mention music and social networks, the first site that came to mind is MySpace. Yes, MySpace is a social network and they do put much weight on music and musicians, but MySpace fails to innovate beyond implementing comments + music player, and that is barely social. In this blog post I will go through the many innovations SoundCloud brought to the music scene and explain why I like it so much.

е. Venera) вышел в феврале на Orange Milk Records, по этому поводу были обзоры в The Quietus, Gorilla vs. Bear и т.д.
Phurpa — phurpa.bandcamp.com — тибетская ритуальная музыка, сыгранная на аутентичных инструментах (authentic ritual music of Bon, the oldest Buddhist tradition from Tibet), не зря их котируют Sunn O))), и за последние годы они очевидно вырвались из замкнутого круга, во многом благодаря O'Malley, который издал их пластинку Trowo Phurnag Ceremony (2010) на своём саблейбле Ideologic Organ, после чего они даже принимали участие в туре Сан.
Upd.
Primavera!, т.к.
Boris (10/12)!

The Concept:
We’ve been living our lives at a rate of 24 hours per complete earth axis rotation at 365 days per complete circumference around the sun. We exist in our human form that is allowed at this speed of life. For one night, we will halt this speed to stop time; allowing our forms which hide between the threads of time to be released. In this timesphere, our alternate creatures celebrate their freedom from the clutches of passing time; relishing their freedom to finally come out of the shadows and explore. Come to “Timesphere” as your inner creature which exists deep in your timeless self.

The Intent:
We are putting all efforts into creating a reunion gathering to solidify the connections we all made with ourselves and others from Fractalfest, our 3 day gathering this summer. We invite you to part of an event which has both the wild and calming aspects. Together, let's find a balance in life and become as close to yin and yang, the Hunab Ku. Also to realize this balance is itself balanced with chaos. All we ask is you be respectful of yourself, of others, and of the space.

****The Conduit (Hartford, CT) 4-hour Sound Meditation****
www.facebook.com/TheConduitGongs
The Conduit is a team of musicians who practice the art of performance-'sound-meditation' for individuals or groups to align, and ~find balance within~ specializing in the ancient art of sound meditation: a technique that creates a state of effortless relaxation and a natural environment for self-healing
Individual wellness and peace is the first step towards a utopian world. Only when one emanates the lifestyle of balance and harmony, can one expect to transfer some into the community surrounding themselves. We believe that the through the modality of meditation everyone has the power for introspection and growth. Sound, particularly from the gongs, has a unique ability to clear mental clutter, streamlining the meditation practice.
We utilize Gongs, singing bowls, and positive intention to decrease mental distraction, allowing the body the chance return to its natural resonance.
