Here is my new piano composition. I composed it and played the piano.
I titled this composition "Life is Short" because life is really too short and we must enjoy every second with our loved ones. I created this music for this slow motion video compilation: youtu.be/6azm13X84DY In this video the contrast between the slow motion part and the part with normal speed really shows how fast life is going, we must enjoy every moment in life.

I was looking through some of my old Happisburgh photographs and found this little gem (not the photo but the track). Matt and I only managed one song - which is a great shame because I thought he interpreted the words brilliantly. (Echoes of Peter Hammill - though I don't think he knew of PH.)
Happisburgh
The man from the government came round
To say my house is only worth a pound
Perched here on this most fragile ground
Where the sea bites into the cliff
And all buildings shift
Precariously
And at night, I hear the waves crashing
Against the revetments
And fear the strength of the water
I can no longer sleep
Fearful of the time when the slide will come
And carry my belongings into the deep
My hair has gone grey
And my nerves are fraught
In my head now I hear the sea
Like in a shell constantly
Roaring and beating and waiting
To take the house I bought
My garden has already gone
Along with my favourite shed
I awoke, one morning, to find my lawnmower
Mangled on the beach
And all my tools smashed and tangled
My screws and nails spread
Soon to be pounded on the beach
Its bricks worn smooth - its timbers cracked
Its tiles dispersed by the breakers
To disappear forever out of reach
Piece by piece
Like Eccles Church
Who will fight to save my home now?
Nobody!
Because the man from the government came round
To say it’s only worth a pound

If I had done something a little bit differently
You would’ve moved in a better direction than this baby
If you were human, if you were who I assumed you were
You wouldn’t have done this
I thought I did something,
But you would do anything to bring me down
And she brought me down
You say that you love me
But you act like you don’t
You used to adore me, laughed at all of my jokes
Don’t take this the wrong way
You put me harm’s way
When we had a first kiss, it was your favorite thing
And you weren’t lying when you said it would sting
Don’t take this the wrong way
You put me harm’s way
Imagine our children, I thought they’d be
Mommy’s a saint, but daddy lives in a dream
Don’t take this the wrong way

Few months ago by chance and because a friend in common we (My wife Kichi, my son Tomeji and I) ended up eating in a stranger’s house Andi Teichmann.
He was extremely friendly, cooking a delicious pasta, introducing us to a group of really interesting people and his lovely son and wife.
At the end of the night he gave us a CD “It is our latest project, check it out” the name was “Karachi Files”
And all can I say is this album is full of beautiful experimental music, that I heard almost every day and I started to make a painting of every each song of the record.

Memories of Southall station It was the Thursday before Easter Sunday, and I had stationed myself at my old childhood spotting haunt of Southall footbridge to photograph some of the Easter relief services that were timetabled. Of course back then there was plenty of traction to distract the photographer :)
50023 'Howe' is seen here accelerating away from a red signal with an eastbound parcels train. Note the old footbridge that used to pass over the tracks here, allowing Southall residents to get quickly over the railway without walking up to the road bridge. There was also an 'off-chute' with steps leading to the diesel depot - ostensibly for railway staff only, but which became a well-used spot for train spotters over the years (yours truly included) - all now sadly dismantled (and taken away to Didcot Railway Centre apparently). 50023 is wearing the original version of NSE livery with upward stripes on the cabs and white window surrounds - this livery was superseded by a darker shade of blue, straight lines and no white paint around the windows.
More exciting is the fact that I have her on audio tape - you can hear my recording of 50023 'Howe' on this day in the following link😍 soundcloud.com/sound-vision-10193594/class-50-heaven-part...
Locomotive History
D423 entered service 11-May-68
Renumbered 50023 in 1974
Named 'Howe' 17-May-78
Withdrawn 15-Oct-90
After ending up at C. F. Booth's of Rotherham, 'Howe' did eventually make it into preservation, but was used for spares and eventually cut up. It actually spent 14 years languishing at various railway dumps and scrapyards before being broken up by H.Needle Railroad Co. at Barrow Hill Depot in March 2004.
Taken with a Soviet made Zenith TTL SLR camera and 300mm telephoto lens, using Kodak ASA100 colour negative film. Scanned from the original negative with no digital restoration.
You can see a random selection of my railway photos here on Flickriver: www.flickriver.com/photos/themightyhood/random/
