Ok, it is a bit lame, but I am buring the candle at both ends here today and this was expedient.

Milford Sound is a fiord in the south west of New Zealand's South Island, within Fiordland National Park. It was acclaimed as New Zealand's most famous tourist destination and was previously called one of the eighth Wonder of the World.
Even when a guitar sits,
it sings and shows its gold.
The strings breathe with the weakest wind
and whisper out some notes.
It patience waits for someone's hands
to strum til heart's content
For then it be a real thing
and not just abstract art

I really like these kind of places in barcelona, it's like a small space of peace trapped and surrounded by so much energy and movement !

I was totally disoriented by the shifting fog and winding channel. This seemed like I was looking west at the time but had to be east at sunrise. KN

Don't care what people say
Free yourself, let yourself go
Sweat music is playin'
Free yourself, let yourself go
Release that stress
Free yourself, let yourself go
Yeah, listen up people
Everybody gotta be, be yourself, be yourself now
You got to live your live free yeah
Don't worry 'bout a thing, just be yourself yeah
Everybody's got to be free
Everybody's free (Everybody's got to be free yeah)
Feel Good (This is the sound of freedom)(Sounds of freedom)

Digging through the archives looking for a shot that somewhat fit today's weather. Found this gem... Taken in Vancouver back in 2012, four humpbacks sounding in unison. The photo wasn't converted to B&W, it was just that gloomy out! (This is not one image- it's a composite of two... 4 whales just wouldn't fit in 1 frame!)
Did you know that every humpback has a unique pattern of pigmentation on the underside of its tail fluke? This pattern acts as the animal's 'fingerprint' and can be used to distinguish between individuals.

Just liked the view from the road down to the bottom of the gulch.

'quiet'
And in the naked light I saw,
ten thousand people, maybe more.
People talking without speaking,
people hearing without listening
People writing songs
that voices never shared,
And no one dared
to stir the sound of silence

I've waited all summer to get a shot of a Pika. Finally ran into a pair last weekend. The two were great fun to watch as they stuffed dried leaves into their cheeks I assume they were in the midst of preparing their winter beds. This fella kept sounding the old Pica alarm anytime we made a move to get closer.
i've been away too long and need to catch up on my friends!!! so i will be flying in an looking around and making ooh and ahh sounds!!! i hope everyone had a wonderful holiday or great weekend! we are having a blizzard here so i am grounded!!!
SDRX Train 1505, the first commuter run of the afternoon from Seattle to Tacoma, Washington at Puyallup near 56th ave E. on January 26th, 2015. The Sounders run on the BNSF Seattle Sub, this location is approximately MP 35X. At this time of year it's almost too late in the day (at 4:05pm) to get decent lighting on the afternoon Sounder. Mount Rainier looms large in the backdrop.
