Hot off the press, taken yesterday I could not wait to post this one. I know they can be pests, but for the most part I find these guys adorable, and this one was double adorable.
There is no sense of scale here, but trust me this guy was little. Also it seemed more curious than anything. It moved, but only a little bit as I moved in closer and closer. I was using my soothing voice, and maybe that helped a wee bit, but I was able to get within about 3 or 4 feet, and it was in a tree right at my eye level. Things could not have been easier for me.
For its own good, hopefully it develops more of a fear of larger critters. I got about 12 shots of at a leisurely pace and then moved on thanking it. It watched as I walked away. A pretty enjoyable encounter. Full view may take a couple of clicks to get to.

Recently, there's been so much in my mind about work related things... So much so that it even invades my mind on my non working days.
For me, the only way to clear my mind is to get away from the junk and be outdoors. (That may explain why I'm outdoors all the time haha)
This day, this scene was my remedy. Even for a short time, it makes me forget.
I hope you can enjoy the image too :)
So much pain in my heart right now. But I'm soothing with nature. Winter here in the Canadian Rockies. Nature comforts always. Time in nature is a balm.

I am always astonished how amazing and beautiful nature can be.
Usually I look out of my window to see what kind of weather and light it is today. And if it will be worth to go out into nature. But It's quite useless. In the city you just can't see if there is such beautiful light in nature...
Just a restful lake scene from a camping trip earlier this summer. That's Bonnie out there, floating along on calm water, with the Tongue Mtn Range behind her.

We reached the famous Sam Sand Dunes on camelback, in time to witness the striking beauty of the soft and soothing light at sunset, when the sand turns to gold and the shadows begin to reveal the intricate patterns left by the wind.

Happy Blue Monday!
The blue bell is the sweetest flower
That waves in summer air;
Its blossoms have the mightiest power
To soothe my spirit's care.
