“There is a waterfall in every dream. Cool and crystal clear, it falls gently on the sleeper, cleansing the mind and soothing the soul.”

― Virginia Alison

The mind must be filled with soft, gentle curves. It finds them so soothing.

Sunset in my garden...

Tree trunks reflected in the calm waters of Crescent Lake.

A little bit of Daddy time while Tart sleeps. Dream good dreams, little man.

I just love this place so much. Everyone should have access to a lovely place like that. More trees, less concrete!

We went hiking near Half Moon Bay on the California coast. The weather was clear during the hike. I thought it will be too clear for a sunset shoot, e.g. too boring. The weather can change quickly. By the time we were at the Martin's Beach the sun was hidden behind clouds, stormy weather clouds. Martin's Beach has some nice rocks standing in the sea. I took this shot at the blue hour.

I processed a balanced HDR photo from a RAW exposure, and carefully adjusted the curves and color balance. I welcome and appreciate your critical feedback.

Salutations! When I took this photo of these mums, I was wondering why they are called white chrysanthemums? They look more like a bi-color variety to me plus they have a lavender edge to some of them. Sometimes the red mums look rust colored, burgundy or deep red and the orange ones look dreamsickle colored. If you were to order them online, the colors may not be true. But as in all things in life, the more you look with a sense of wonder, the more you see!

The warming glow of this Australian beachside sunset appears to radiate off the page.

Thanks to everyone who takes time to comment, and fave my photo.

Enjoy...

There’s nothing quite like watching the waves on the lake.

Tolbatchik Volcano with its reflexion on blue hour.

I usually prefer to keep my exposures reasonably short for rivers and streams so that they look more like you actually see them. On this shot I went longer to capture the cloud movement and create a more surreal and soothing smoothness.
