After spending a bit of time gazing at the vibrant colors of the tulips and hyacinths, a bit of solid green was soothing to the eyes.

music: make your own kind of music - mamma cass elliot

"Nobody can tell ya

There's only one song worth singing

They may try and sell ya

Cause it hangs them up

To see someone like you

You gotta make your own kind of music

Sing your own special song

Make your own kind music

Even if nobody else sings along

It can't be nowhere

The loneliest kind of lonely

It may be

Just to do your thing is the hardest things to do"

Most people live and die with their music still unplayed. They never dare to try.

Not what I originally wanted to do, but time this week was not on my side. So, I took a photograph I had from this summer and processed it this week. I hope that still falls under the rules?

When I, personally, think of the word"soothing", I immediately think of the shower/bath in our home. It is a simple thing, but it is absolutely my soothing escape from the day to day concerns and demands that I encounter. Hot water - scorching hot - seems to melt away the stress!

Life is a highway, and I found this picture to be very comforting.

Me with my great-grandfather, Grandpa Red (who just so happen to also be durn great!). I had a penchant for sucking my thumb while simultaneously having a finger in the belly button. Many a family photo was "ruined" with this maneuver!

Looks normal enough, until you realise the speakers are cranked and they're playing bagpipe music.

It was amazing watching this glorious sunrise, truly magical.

The empty beach is also something else, this is probably the busiest stretch of beach in the gold coast, so to catch it empty is quite stunning.

Green is the colour associated with the Heart Chakra. This chakra deals with higher consciousness and love.

It is believed to have healing properties and possesses a soothing influence upon both mind and body...I think I shall surround myself in green for a while

About Me

Time for another late night pic of Oxford - I went in to College last night to say farewell to someone finishing a one-year course, and realised I hadn't been in the town centre at night in aaaages. So clearly had to take a couple more photos.
