A cup of coffee that appears steaming, yet its warmth is just an illusion. An intriguing contrast between appearance and reality, captured for the Everyday Objects theme of the Imagine l’Andelle photo club. The interplay of textures between the glass’s transparency, the coffee’s opacity, and the swirling steam creates a minimalist and soothing atmosphere. Taken at my home in La Hallotière, Moulin de Normanville.

Here is some mint that I am growing in my backyard. Also known as mentha, the leaves from this herb have some some incredible benefits. You could improve your oral health and freshen your breath, remedy your nausea quickly, relieve symptoms of acne, clear up nose, throat and lung congestion, lose weight, help with memory loss, prevent cancer and plenty more!
Typically every few weeks my wife grabs a couple of these leaves and chops them up and sprinkles them over various Indian dishes. Not only does the food taste great but looks great too! In a few days we plan on freezing some of these mint leaves as it gets colder outside so we can reap the benefits later this winter.
One of the biggest benefits of mint besides making food taste great is aiding in digestion. When ingested it increases bile (fluid secreted by the liver into the small intestine). Mint is also very soothing, calming the actions of the muscles in your digestive system. This is most likely due to the enzyme serine which breaks apart peptide bonds in proteins. In this process serine acts as the amino acid at the active site.
Agapanthus praecox
Common name: Nile Lily
Family: Agapanthaceae
Agapanthus is used to treat heart disease, paralysis, coughs, colds, chest pains and tightness. It is also used with other plants in various medicines taken during pregnancy to ensure healthy children, or to augment or induce labour.
Hikers put leaves in their shoes to soothe the feet, and wrap weary feet in the leaves for half an hour. The long, strap-like leaves also make an excellent bandage to hold a dressing or poultice in place, and winding leaves around the wrists is said to help bring a fever down.
Agapanthus contains several saponins and sapogenins that generally have anti-inflammatory, anti-oedema, antitussive, and immunoregulatory properties.

colorful bathroom tiles, Bathrooms are those warm and private rooms in your house where you can go to take a soothing shower or luxurious bubble bath and let go of all the day's stresses. You spend more time in your bathroom then you even realize. It tends to be the first and last room you use at the start and end of each day and it's the room most often seen and used by any visitors to your home. Once, tiling a bathroom was usually a uniform hospital-like affair of solid white-tiled hygiene. This need no longer be the case. Nowadays you have a very wide choice of colored and textured tiles with which you can create and bring about many varied kinds of effects. Given the available varieties in colors and patterns, in fact, you will need to devote some extra time and thought to the kind of ambiance you want in your bathroom, how to go about achieving it and what kind of materials you can use for the purpose. You must decide if you are going to tile your entire bathroom or only a partial area and the kind of design pattern you want to create in the available space. The bathroom tiles you choose and their design will influence the whole look of your bathroom. You must also carefully consider the cost and maintenance factors. After all, you probably want a beautiful bathroom that is pleasant and relaxing to be in every day, with tiles that look great, are long-lasting, and are safe to walk on.Choosing Bathroom tiles: Ceramic tiles vary in price according to design, type of tile and manufacturer, so it is a good idea to shop around and see what fits your budget. Before buying, make sure that the tiles are from the same batch as different batches are fired at different times and so often can differ in their sizes. You can choose from different bathroom tile types like--Glazed ceramic tiles, Mosaic tiles, Natural stone tiles, Porcelain tiles, Quarry tiles and Terracotta tiles. Ask the dealer about the required maintenance for each variety. Select a tile that fits in with your design scheme. It is a good idea to order a few sample tiles so you can check if the colors and patterns are what you actually want. You must also decide if you are going to use a dark grout or a white grout. Some bathroom tile design ideas: The most important thing, apart from material, type and design of the tile, is the color of the tile. The color you choose will define the space and create the mood for your bathroom. Using pale and pastel shades, with a few bright accents, can create a calm and cheerful atmosphere. Lighter color shades also give an impression of a more open area, which is useful if you have a small bathroom. You can give your bathroom a light airy feeling with plenty of light, a couple of well-placed wall-mirrors, and light colored ceramic tiles. You can choose basic solid colors or try something different by blending colors and patterns and shapes. Try creating interesting focal points in your bathroom walls, counter-tops and shower area by using colorful tile accents and attractive murals. You can install accent tiles in the middle of the regular tiles or create a pattern by alternating them with the regular tiles. You can match the ceramic tiles in the shower area to the other patterns in the room, or you can use an entirely different pattern. Since the shower area is often enough an enclosed space and separated from the rest of the bathroom, you can use ceramic tiles of a different pattern without turning your decor into an eye-clashing sore. You can enhance the shower area with vividly-colored tiles or use an unique pattern to an interesting effect. For the floor tiling, you can use tiles of the same pattern as the wall tiles, albeit with a good grip. Or you can try using tiles that are of an entirely different color and even design pattern. This can help balance the colors of the bathroom fixtures, especially if those are different as well. If you live in cold climes, having a floor with warm-colored tiles will look better and feel even better if you install radiant heating underneath. There are a myriad different ways in which you can design your bathroom. Look at magazine photos, advertisements, and design brochures for interesting bathroom set-ups. Make a list of the colors, styles, and patterns that appeal to you, and don't be afraid of letting your imagination have a free rein. Whichever way you chose to tile your bathroom, be sure to infuse your own unique personality into the design., bathroom, colorful bathroom

These are actually 1999 re-issues. The original records were released in 1964. It contains really cheesy and psychedelic synthesizer music by electronic music pioneer Raymond Scott (co-inventor of the Moog). This music was created to sooth babies but I think it's more effective for brainwashing or creating some sort of mental disorder (especially for the parents).
It's fantastic!
