The Solar Decathlon 2022 Competition Event took place at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, April 22-24, 2022. 54 Design Challenge teams and 23 Build Challenge teams presented to juries, with more than 300 students on-site and over 500 virtual attendees.
This is one of those solar garden lights that draw off sunshine during the day and then turn on to glow at night. Of course, they're not this bright, but a long exposure like this when it's dark outside will make them look much stronger than they really are. It's positioned right at the bottom of the front steps to my house.
For The Sunday Challenge group, who's theme this week was to use a setting on your camera you hadn't used before. I chose the "B" (bulb) setting, which I had never used before, on an old Diana-clone 120 camera. In fact, I'd only ever run one roll of film through the camera and had been meaning to use it again for some time.
For those that don't know about the classic "Diana" camera - they were really really cheap plastic cameras made in Hong Kong in the 1960's and given away as prizes or sold for about .50 cents. That's right - they are super cheap and if you drop one, they might break into a thousand pieces because the plastic is so thin. As a matter of fact, I think mine melted a little on the front because it was kept in a hot car. If you look at mine in the picture below, the melted spot is just above the lens and under the viewfinder.
Camera: Windsor (Diana-clone)
Film: Fuji Film Neopan Acros 100 ISO 120 film

The Solar array will be used to trickle charge the lithium battery bank in the Kimberly Kamper trailer while in storage. www.kimberleykampers.com/
A future project will be to add a battery and separate MPPT charger to power a 12 v garden fountain pump and outdoor LED lighting.

Took out the Solio charger again today to soak up some free electricity. The wide angle lens makes it look a lot more bent then it really is.
This solar farm was built on top of a landfill located in Rehoboth, MA. The landfill had not been used for decades and will now provide clean renewable energy to customers nearby. The system size is about 2.4 MW DC. Photo by Lucas Faria.
The Monarch solar farm is a 23.6 MW project and one of three projects totalling 68 MW being developed by the Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation and Concord Green Energy in southern Alberta. The two partners co-own the project equally.
These slim high powered solar panels and the perfect addition to your next off the grid project! The output is 10W at 18V, 0.55A making these small panels 1/3 the cost per Watt over similar sized panels. Best of all, these are waterproof, weather proof, and mild-impact shatter proof.
Each solar panel is framed with aluminum and has a stripped cable pair.
Images of the Sun taken on December 9, 2025 ☀️
Even today, despite somewhat unpredictable weather clouds, turbulence, and fluctuating brightness I managed to capture some interesting details… A gigantic group of sunspots AR 4294/4296/4298 is currently visible on the disk, one of the largest in the last 10 years. This type of formation carries a large amount of magnetic energy and represents a potential source of major (M or X-class) eruptions, which propagate CMEs. The Sun is currently experiencing a high-activity phase of solar cycle 25, making observation particularly interesting: structures are evolving rapidly, and new formations sometimes appear from one day to the next.
Acquisition: Cloudy, fairly unstable seeing, variable turbulence.

I went to Brea, California because they have solar panels, but i was not able to take photos of the tops, so I had to stick with photos of the bottom.
Well,Delhi only experianced partial eclipse .
Annular Eclipse was seen from south of the country .
Note :Picture will be bit hazy due to fog .
The sequence to test the deployment of the solar wing, which took just less than a minute, involved commands by the onboard software – precisely as will happen in space.
