It looks like a solar system with the planets revolving around the sun.

Parece como un sistema solar con los planetas girando alrededor del sol.

The Canard River flows through southwestern Ontario’s Essex county, on its way to the Detroit River. As the river snakes its way around the western part of the county, residents who live nearby, have built mini docks for their own recreation. I happened to discover this unique structure all aglow with solar powered lights.

A thermosolar power plant in southern Israel. My first experience with a drone.

Very fast and active aurora, G1 level, in a very cold and windy night. It was crazy, it was awesome. Hamnøy, Moskenesøya, Lofoten.

Solar Powered Leo cat is soaking up the sunshine on a cold day, he did turn over a few times, shot in North Carolina.

Today (25Oct22) we could see a partial solar eclipse from The Netherlands.

I used a 10 + 6 stops filter to create this capture.

Have a great day, cheers!

Longer days, brighter sun!

A row of new build houses in Nefyn in Gwynedd with solar power panels on their roofs.

Recently seen around noon in the Ahr valley with the sun high and cirrostratus clouds.

It is a light effect through reflection and refraction of light on ice crystals.

Some pretty intense atmospherics on Lindisfarne last week. Apparently this is caused by the reflection and refraction of light by tiny ice crystals in the atmosphere.

Such big skies up there.

Press L - gives it some more impact.

I took a photo of a grove of trees after the heavy snowfall -then just applied the solarize filter in PS. The winter sky and snow colors were most affected. Kind like black snow!

Solar power plant covers 25.000 m2 and is composed of 6.777 solar pannels. It was inaugurated in octobre 2021 by Enovos. Arcelor Mittal owns the lake which formerly was used to cool down a steel mine. Projet manager was Éric Golinelli and Solar lake produces 3 GWH/year electricity for 3.200 inhabitants or 800 homes.

lunar eclipse is near

but here comes the one and only solar eclipse of today :-)

ok, it's a chandelier found in Casa Batll, Barcelona

i wondered what it saw looking up at the moon

was it a reflection of light or a night

did it really feel the pull like the ocean

The sunrises recently have been spectacular here along the Front Range of Colorado. On this day, the sun slipped behind some clouds at the end of the main event and presented this amazing skyscape. The misty clouds heavily reduced the brightness of the sun allowing this image to be taken without a filter.

Image notes: I stood in this spot busy with Canada Geese migrants hoping for a large group to fly in front of the sun. Instead what I got were multiple sorties of smaller groups flying in front of the sun. I couldn't resist the temptation in post to composite those groups into the larger flock you see here. ;-)))

The Solar Orbiter, an international collaboration between NASA and the European Space Agency (ESA) launched in February 2020. Since then, it has acquired data that helps astronomers better understand the volatile solar surface and predict solar storms.

Aided by its 10 state-of-the-art instruments, it is the most complex scientific laboratory sent by humankind to our nearest star. One of its biggest feats to date is having taken the widest high-resolution view of the sun ever achieved.

when the solar project Segs II in Daggett, California, closed up shop, all the mirrors were turned down to protect them. it is an alien environment. Near Barstow.

My wife's solar light in the early evening.

Solarization or the Sabattier Effect is the process of re-exposing photographic paper during the development process. The result is an eerie silver image that contains light lines between the shadows and the highlighted areas. In this case I just slid the Dehaze slider down to the hazy end in Adobe Raw Convertor. It works most on the dark branches and makes the Spring green new leaves just a little hazy. Thanks if you have the time for a comment.

Couldn't help but notice how flat this Swallowtail was holding his wings - like solar panels to soak up all the suns warmth and energy possible.

It was almost noontime and already the day was sweltering hot so it probably didn't take too long to get all charged up.
