It's pretty amazing all the stuff you can find in a few square feet in the yard. This little guy was on the stem of another dandelion next to the other one I uploaded earlier. He was eating some tiny bugs that I suppose had hatched on the stem.

The snack bar and pool hall are popular spots in the summer, where villagers can purchase ice cream, soda, popcorn and candy.

Amy's here! We had a long, wonderful, tiring day together! You'll be seeing some of the 120 photos I took today in coming weeks! Other souvenirs were a pendant Amy bought, earrings of sea glass that she and I made for me, and yarn Amy picked up! A funtastic day!

This is a follow up to this post.

 

As I was walking around shooting night photos of my city yet again when I saw some of the same girls that I had shot from a distance previously. I decided to pass by them and take a closer shot.

 

I like this photo, it is much more "human" than the previous one I posted.

 

I talk about these girls in my previous post. They are essentially hostesses (aka スナック"snack") bars which are small bars where Japanese men can go to drink and receive some artificial attention. While possibly seeming shady to westerners, there is no sex or prostitution involved, even though that is the image that girls "working on the street corner" bring to mind.

This pod was from some tree or plant and was eaten. The yellow insides were seeds surrounded by a chalky but sweet substance that dissolved in the mouth.

Working late. Grabbed the last apple in the Osmosoft fruit bowl. Floury.
