The falls are part of a chain of many within the perimeters of Hocking Hills State Park, Ohio. During the spring and after heavy rainfall these waterfalls flow freely, since they are fed by runoff and not by the tradition method of being part of a river or creek. Other times the falls can dry up, but the gorges and hiking trails throughout the park are well worth the visit even without the flowing water.

Explore no. 448 May 15th
Incoming tide at Saltburn last night. ICM, camera tripod mounted and panned horizontally. Exposure 0.5 sec.
So if you look at my previous upload, you can see how disparate the shoot was as the sky went from flat nothingness to this light show. It only lasted 10 minutes but that was enough to get this and a long exposure that I'll post at a later date.
BTW, just noticed the exif data for this shot and obviously it's wrong. I did a bit of a blend with the long exposure that I took just after this to get a slightly smoother water but as you'll see when I post that, it is literally faint overlay.

Today ive got some dramatical clouds, you can not see the dawn but the lightning in the clouds was great.
Close down my aperture to get a longer exposure and a smooth water (was really windy today) :)

Today we went to the Four Mile Beach north of Santa Cruz, California. It was a beautiful afternoon, no clouds. I took this long exposure shot in the blue hour 30 minutes after sunset using an ND8 neutral density filter on the vintage Dream Lens.
I processed a balanced and a photographic HDR photo from a RAW exposure, merged them selectively, and carefully adjusted the color balance and the curves. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.

These pair of birds from two different but related species showed up in Fort De Sotto to delight all birders. Very chill and indifferent to human gawkers.
