Viking Line Cinderella passing in the middle of the Baltic Sea.
The scene was lit by the Moon, however it was so high up that unfortunately didn't fit into the frame. Gave nice glow to the sea, tho.
Have a wonderful day, folks!

In mid May I attended a workshop at Valle Verzasca in Switzerland. A weekend for photographing rocks and water.
Expect not much else for the next few days.
View from Redondo Beach
Description/info: Redondo Beach is coastal city in Los Angeles County, California, United States, located in the South Bay region.
Port Washington Narrows leading into Phinney Bay, in Bremerton, Washington during an Autumn sunset. This area is stunningly beautiful when the skies are clear.
Cedar Waxwing, Bombycilla cedrorum. Lifer for me, during a Texas Master Naturalist Bird Hike. Really too small/distant for a good image, and probably the focus (if any) was elsewhere. Call it “painterly”. If I ever get a good shot, I’ll post that.
😃 Happy Sliders Sunday!
The first aster I have spotted this year on my prairie walks. A sure sign that autumn will soon be here.
I saw an opportunity here as the tide was coming in to make contrasting foregrounds, as the water was flowing up underneath the wooden groyne so I put on my little stopper for a longer exposure to smooth out the water. The rough area was nice and lumpy but very soft under my tripod which kept sinking so I had to move around a bit to find a firm spot. I ought to carry some old CDs to put under the legs but there is a limit to how much you can carry, yes I need an assistant lol.
The low sun provided some nice warm light to bounce off the groyne and put some colour in the clouds for me .
Shrouded in the clouds is Cotopaxi volcano and it is considered one of the world's highest active volcanoes and is at 19348ft / 5897m Ecuador's second highest mountain. Loosely translated from the Quechua, Cotopaxi means "Smooth Neck of the Moon".
I stitched two photos and 3 exposures for each photo for this composition.
The hotel we stayed in in Northern Borneo was chosen on account of the abundant wildlife that calls the hotel grounds their home. In all we counted five of these Smooth Coated Otters.
A species I've not photographed before...
I was doing some gardening at the weekend in and around the pond. When getting rid of some weeds I came across a few Smooth Newts. So carefully I placed them close to the pond edge and tried to get a few photos before they 'plopped' into the water and disappeared from sight. It's so nice knowing we have a good population of them in our garden.
The rough brickwork parts the smooth water flow.
