A re-edit of a photo from this past fall. After returning disappointed in my photos from MA. I had one of the most memorable fall hikes with perfect chilly conditions.

My wife thought it was a cyclist's leg with those tights they wear... hmmm

Actually it is just the pattern on the ceiling of a Hotel.

Found a couple of November snakes today which was very nice considering the rain and cool temps we've been having. This one had some battle scars but seemed to be healthy. Also found a Garter Snake basking in the cloudy weather. Guess he's waiting on the sun like the rest of us.

Another one from Kvalnes, looking towards Eggum. The sea was so smooth, it looked like a proper mirror!

A lifer for me which I was fortunate to see in Florida.

A member of the Cuckoo family, this bird is normally found in the Caribbean and parts of Central and South America and the only foray it ever makes into the US is into southwestern Florida.

Serious birders/photographers were all a-buzz with the excitement of seeing this bird and alerted me to its presence !

Been to Nieuwsluis, in the Netherlands. The weather was fantastic, no clouds, very sunny and the water was also very calm. I took some long exposure shots. This is one of the results.

Another portrait of a handsome Virginia valeriae that I found in my East Texas neighborhood.

Today's edit from the archive. The river Teign in Devon, just upstream from Fingle Bridge.

So I'd taken this already but forgotton and have been getting behind in my shot a week!

A take on a common shot but wanting to use some natural light from the patio doors to cast a smooth diffuse shadow to one side too. Hope you like.

Shot on a Panasonic G3 converted for infrared photography, processed in Lightroom and Silver Efex.

Best viewed large. Straight from the camera except for a slight hue change because I liked the blue cast for this image. This one is my favorite.
