orange slice with some of its juice squeezed out
(taken with Moment Macro 10x attachment to smartphone)
on a serious note:
I took this shot, among many, of a little utensil that I use to squeeze my teabag when it is done. The real purpose of the object was to squeeze lemon slices but works nicely on teabags also... I like this particular shot because of the reflections on the counter top !!! Only treatment was enhance (sharpen) with Topaz Detail and frame...

Queen - Don't Stop Me Now (Official Video)
Disfrútalo. No te pares.
Enjoy it. Do not stop.
Today, just 15 years ago, I was diagnosed with a tumor, for which I had to be operated on and treated for 15 long months, and which left me in limbo.
During that time, I learned to put aside those things that until then were relevant to me, to go on to appreciate those small, everyday, unlikely things that until that moment, I had not been able to appreciate, savor, admire and "taste" with pleasure. , the breeze, the people, the flowers, a breakfast, a chat with your neighbors, a hug from mommy, the kisses of my little girl, details that we are so used to, that we let them pass….
Someone, whom I love very much, my best friend and wonderful doctor, said to me, "Don't let your joy sink in."
The last thing I heard when I went into the operating room, was this song from Queen, which an operating room nurse put me "Don't Stop me now." When I came out of the ICU two days later, the first thing I saw was a nine year old with a shaved head eating a piece of sandwich. This photo goes for the little one. Three days later, a colleague of that nurse put us “We‘ re the champions ”by Queen.
And in the meantime, I feel like that day again, and life goes on and doesn't stop….
Don't let your joy go

I saw a photo on Pinterest of an orange sliced like this, but I did not like the composition. So I did my own version. I just wish that I had moved the knife two inches to the left so it was not bisecting the apple and the reflection of the apple.

A telephoto landscape , looking south from Newlands Corner over Surrey heading for West Sussex . They say "Leafy Surrey " and there is no shortage of trees in this shot . As always , taking photos from Newlands Corner always has the same issue - the shots are always into the sun , sometimes they work and sometimes they don't !!

Juicy citrus slices drops into refreshing water. Thank you everyone for your visits, faves, and kind comments.
Looking at the wake behind the ferry, I held the camera still and snapped off twenty pictures in about fifteen seconds; then I combined them in this image with a single stripe for each time slice. (Time goes left to right here.)

Stone ground wheat? Sorry, anyway, ran across these interesting rocks in Joshua Tree National Park. I like the way they all appear to be sliced up and laying side-by-side. Then again, I was starting to get really hungry at this point in my hike! Just a little sliding on this one. HSS!!
lemons [sour as they may be]
fruit doesn't seem to be my best thing.

**I think since the elections I've been in a creative slump. I avoid the news, but alas....
after spending some time looking at the photostreams of others, I've decided to go back to playing.
and I need to cull my contacts. I simply can't catch up.
I'll remove people who haven't posted lately, and contacts I really haven't had any contact with.
it will make me sad. there are such wonderful artists out there.
after the culling I'll have to start adding again.

A slice of the urban landscape. From the tables at the bottom to the astronomical observatory up high.
Taken off of Commonwealth Avenue, in the Boston University campus. There is nothing particularly special about this space, but I think it captures a slice of urban life very beautifully :)
