yea that's right, i sliced it and ate some already. at 1am! because there is another loaf in the oven! bc i didn't get home until after 8pm. oops.
Me tenderly holding a beautiful fragile flower. For some reason this was the image that first popped into my head when I thought of the 'tender' theme.
Also an appropriate image for the theme of 'hands' in Unravelling. Something pretty that my hands like to hold.
I got to test out the macro setting on my camera too - thought it was pretty good considering I didn't use a special lens or filter - just set it to 55mm and macro setting with manual focus.

I got a brisket that was already 'corned', put on a spice rub and "smoked" it. (okay, it was cooked in a very low oven with some liquid smoke). Sliced on my Borner V slicer, it's ready for me to warm for lunch today.
Guess which coffee people's blog and photo triggered this bee in my bonnet!

Somewhere I stumbled across the technique called "freelensing", where you hold your SLR lens against the mount and swivel it around to focus (please Google for more details; I'm not responsible for any damage you inflict on your camera!). It seems like the "poor man's" alternative to getting a Lensbaby. Works for me, since I don't have the budget for a Lensbaby yet (it's on my Amazon Wish List, in case anyone wants to be ridiculously generous :D ), I was happy to try this out. Hope I'm not ruining my D90 with this experiment... *sheepish grin*
I will be popping back for another slice of reality at low tide when the pathway to the river is available again.
Step 1: slice the fish. Step 2: make a roll of rice. Step 3: rub some wasabe on chunks of rice. Step 4. put the slices of fish on the rice. Step 5: serve the sushi.
