Slicing Hobbies

 

I learned something really important about hobbies recently and I’m sure you can all agree.

 

Just like my love for food I have my love for photography but recently photography has really cost me a lot of money and I realized that no matter how you “SLICE IT” a hobby will always eat a hole through your pockets. Even if you take small slices those slices will soon add up but will fill up your desires.

Slicing fresh salmon

I found these tofu deli slices, from Nature's Soy, at a local Giant supermarket, and figured I'd give them a try. They have a different consistency than Tofurkey (veg deli slices), but I really liked them. They also have less sodium than Tofurkey, which is a plus. Both the kids ate several slices, so I guess they were a hit.

If you look carefully near the tip of this slice of delicious, made-from-scratch, ham and spinach quiche, you can see steam rising from it.

 

*I am still working on how best to shoot food to make it look delicious and artistic, and suggestions for improvement are very welcome!
