In 2009 Bonnie and I worked on a month long commission to create an image for Dr. Robert Bishop for his newly formed Swiss Foundation called The International Centre for Earth Simulation. One of our preliminary sketches for this project was used for The India Habitat Centre's Art Journal interview with him. (Simulation: Christian Reinboth)
Staged Simulation of an Anesthesia & Surgical Resident interaction taking place in the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health (UWSMPH) Department of Anesthesiology Simulation Laboratory.
The Anesthesiology Resident clearly went to medical school elsewhere!
They had some little show going on at the San Marcos airport in Texas and this simulation was one thing they showed.
Amidst the political intrigue are the journalists tasked with covering the day's drama. The Congressional Simulation Exercise on April 4 was designed to give about 150 West Point cadets in the SS202 and SS252 (American Politics) courses a hands-on, real-world simulation of government in action. Participants absorbed the role of legislators, journalist, lobbyists and presidential advisers in a daylong capstone exercise to see who can best use political capital to create the best outcome for their group. This is a simulation which I hope to replace with something real. It shows what the annular eclipse will look like from Vancouver Canada.
Simulation day at #CityCollegeFTL! We conducted a scenario involving a mass casualty situation with five victims, in which students from several programs participated. The results were outstanding! The medical assisting students came to the aide of one victim and called the EMS team to take over. The most severe patient was taken to the operating room for surgery, with the anesthesia and surgical technology students. Amazing work was done by our students.

A simulated Ektachrome Infrared false-color image produced with an unmodified digital camera and an R72 filter.
More details on the equipment and technique, as well as free Photoshop actions which simplify the creation of both a monochrome infrared image and a false-color Infrared Ektachrome simulation, can be found at:
Camp David participants negotiate their own path to Israeli-Palestinian peace through a simulation. Students are divided into delegations representing Israel, the European Union, the Palestinians, the United States, the Arab states and the UN to try and find their own solutions to the ongoing conflict.
There was no shortage of news to report as lobbyists and members of Congress swarm the newsrooms to get their side of the story told first and fast.
