I was trying to capture the complex but consistent texture of this barn as well as the rustic simplicity of old farm architecture.
I think this is Simplicity 1449, and I think it is size 2. It's pretty close to if not exactly identical to Simplicity 5695 (now out of print), which is the first pattern I made when I started sewing again ~7 years ago. Fabric is April Cornell "A Little Romance."

I got a better fit this time by cutting it a size smaller. This pattern is well on its way to becoming a TNT.

If I could fly I'd come to see you wherever you are
I would lie down beside you while you're sleeping
and with simplicity ... I'd spend a little time
just a little time with you
With simplicity, I'd listen to your breath
listen to your heart beat
I would be so near, we could push away the fear
I'd come to see all of your tears
I'd come to see all of your smiles
with butterfly eyes ...
And you would know who I am
and I would know who you are
